Most sadistic fighters

I always got the impression that Azumah Nelson enjoyed seeing his opponents unconscious at his feet and was never overly concerned as to their well being.

I also recall (and I can't remember exact quotes) his post fight comments after the 3rd Leija and I think the Cowdell fight were positively Duranesque in there callousness.

 

Bob Foster was truly like that. He said in an interview during his reign of terror "I knock 'em dead, and I don't care if they ever get up..."

 

I always felt Duran and Qawi were the most I'd ever seen

 

I'll never forget Qawi-Leon Spinks. That was as nasty a spectacle as I've ever seen in the ring.

 

Qawi slipping punches and taunting Spinks, or was there more? Qawi slipped many punches and taunted nothing new.

 

Taunted, laughed at and beat up on a guy who was virtually dead at the weight.

In and of itself it probably wasn't that bad but the humiliation heaped on the beating he gave Leon (and I'd be shocked if Qawi couldn't have finished it way sooner) was very unpleasant, unnecessary and cruel.

It's like spit torturing your little brother or punching up a down syndrome kid. Not tough or anything to be proud of.

Wtf difference does that make? I know who I'd give more respect given the choice of a scientist who discovered life saving technology or some fvcking boxer if both changed their names.

 

On topic they don't come much more sadistic than Duran. I'm sure after one fight the guys wife jumped in the ring to remonstrate with Roberto so he chinned her too.

I don't think that's fair in the ring he was a brutal guy. But I even heard Leonard say that when he met his kids and wife he was a true gentleman. I also heard he was one of the most generous guys around But the again I heard stories of him knocking out a horse. I must admit I am a bit of a fan boy of Duran

 

Hitting a woman is cowardly and scummy sorry but I've never liked Duran and after hearing this I kind of hate him now

 

I have never heard of this hitting a women? Google never turned anything up. To be fair I'm not trying to defend his actions but think all the things that great boxers or even men have done. I don't think its fair to judge him on one action. Imagine how many boxing great that have done bad stuff.
