    Okay Stevenson is the lineal champion but how much does that matter now that Kovalev is clearly more willing to meet and beat better competition?

    I know it's tradition to rate the lineal champion as "the" champion but I don't think Stevenson has done nearly enough to retain that level of imminence.:nono

    I don't buy into the notion that being the lineal champ means you are "the man"

    Imo nobody is definitively "the man" at LHW right now.

    Way back in the heathen days nobody seemed to give a carp that Darius Michalczewski was actually the lineal champion because they were too busy :bowdown exalting Emperor Jones:hi:

    I disagree. Kovalev is Stevensons mandatory now right? Until they fight or one of them refuses that fight or one of them loses, there is no definitive "man" at LHW.
