Froch would give him his toughest fight so far. Froch always tries to get the other man on the back-foot, even if he's under the cosh himself. Kovalev has bludgeoning power but not quick, flash power punches which Froch struggles with more. Froch would certainly land some combinations and take some rounds off Kovalev but he'd be too small at 175 and would probably lose a brutal s**** 8-4 or 9-3.
Diehard Froch fan, but his style is awful for Kovalev. Movers is what gives Kovalev problems. But Kovalev's defense is not good is there to get hit.
This is exactly what people say about Froch too and I think them having similarities is why this would be such a great fight.
Froch has the reputation of having a great chin or punch resistance :!: which sounds good but it also means he has been frequently hit with big punches . However, his chin has yet to meet something the magnitude of the Krusher :dead
froch is shot. the two fights with the last britiush bum prove it. he gets severly hurt if he fights kovalev. no worries though, he'll never do it.
I think Froch's toughness and heart would see him have moments of success like Pascal did but Kovalev is too big, too powerful, too accurate and Froch too easy to hit. Froch probably gets stopped late, though Kovalev will know he's been in a fight.
Froch doesnt want that kind of fight at his age IMO. At this point of his career i think he probably cant handle a LHW monster like kovalev. I agree with your ****ysis, froch's toughness would keep him in the fight, though he'd ultimately get grinded down.
That would be suicide for Carl. Froch is great but at no point in his career would he beat Kovalev. He's like tryptonite to Froch imo.
We've yet to see him against someone who can really box and move on an elite level, though. Bhop tried to, but was more or less tryna survive. Sillkah or whatever his name is didnt have the chin to sustain it, same with campillo. Who can stand their ground against kovalev and win? You are just asking to get KO'd
