Big fan of Roy here but lets be real he would be brutally stopped by Kovalev. Roy was scared to take the lead against light punchers like Harding,Del Valle even an old McCallum had him guessing and afraid to lead imagine how petrified he would be against a destroyer like Kovy :admin. Roy's only chance in this fight would be to go all out and try to knock Kovalev out thats the only chance he would have but i doubt he would do that, the most likely scenario would see a reluctant Roy afraid to let his hands go and go into survival mode the first time he feels The Krusher's power but sooner or later something big would land and Roy would take a nap in the ring, i would be sh****ed if he lasted five rounds .

With all this said Roy in his prime would never face a guy like Kovalev he(Roy) would wait till he was past it to face a guy like Kovalev cause Roy was a bit weird he got braver the more shot he got.

Anyway Kovalev in five or less brutal one sided rounds finishing it off with a KO of the year type of punch.

You think that he is even going to get the chance to land on a prime RJJ.

It would go the full 12. Kovalev wouldn't land much on Jones, Roy was too fast and hard to hit in his prime.

He wouldn't have to, he's arguably one of the hardest punchers in LHW history and Jones was packing glass. Moreover, Kovalev is excellent at cutting off the ring.

Of course he would, lesser fighters than him did! Guys like Harding,Griffin,Del Valle landed several punches on him even an old McCallum landed his fair number of punches and you want me to believe that Kovalev who has more skills than those guys and hes great at cuting of the ring would go an entire fight without landing a punch on Roy.

Some of you guys are delusional and think Roy was superman and that he couldnt be beat when he was far from it. ATG fighter no doubt about it but he gets very overrated by some who think he really was superman when such thing doesnt exist.

How much evidence is there of prime Jones packing glass?

If Pascal could make him miss a bit then Jones would make him miss all night. Kovalev just isn't quick enough.

No i am not. when did i ever said Kovalev was unbeatable?Or Untouchable?

You Roy Lunatics are the ones that believe hes untuchable in his prime and that from 160 to 175 some even say from 160 to HW nobody stands a chance against prime Roy, if you see me doing that to Kovalev than you can tell me i am doing the same.

I think Kovalev is the best light heavy ATM but thers quite a few fighters that i would favor over him at that weight but Roy isnt one of the, just my opinion.

Kovalev is just too slow... But one thing is he is very big at 175... So if he did catch roy jones it would get interesting. Overall i would say wide ud for RJJ if he was in his prime - juiced or not :rasta

Im not sure that Jones would get to the finish with Kovalev landing on him or be ahead up to that point

Stricter drug testing in this day and age would mean Roy Jones' chances with Krusher (due to his glass chin) are slim or none. :nod

When did anybody here say Roy was untouchable or unbeatable?

Some of you Sergey lunatics are the ones who believe Kovalev is some monster who would KO one of the fastest, hardest to hit and greatest fighters of all time in under 5 rounds.

If you see people actually claiming Roy was untouchable, unbeatable superman then you should bring it up to them.

I don't see how claiming that Kovalev stops prime RJJ in less than five rounds is really any different to claiming prime Roy Jones would beat anyone in his division. To me that's the same thing, over rating someone or having a high opinion of someone when others have a different opinion.

And some people think RJJ was the greatest LHW of all time and would beat Kovalev. That's their opinion.
