Funny how people say Roy was overrated, had no chin etc. Yet hype a guy who has yet to beat a real world class fighter to beat him by savage KO. Fact is that Roy was P4P #1 for a decade and fighter of the decade in the 90's and wasn't Ko'ed up until he reached the mid-30's. Cause let's be honest, beating a 50 year old Hopkins is good, but not enough to deserve the hype, neither is beating Pascal who's been beaten by both Hopkins and Froch before in a lower weight class. Of course he would have a chance with that kind of power he has, but don't be foolish and disrespectful, he was getting hit a lot himself by Pascal and Roy had much more skill, power and speed in his prime.

Kovalev lately destroys all these great fighters in their prime by KO but couldn't KO a 50 yr old immobile Hopkins.... What makes it better is that beating Pascal who hasn't beaten a top 15 fighter in 4-5 years who has losses to a 46-47 yr old Hopkins and Froch ( who everyone calls limited) confirms he would knockout all these great fighters. I like Kovalev and do give him credit for the fashion in which he dispatched Pascal but the hype is killing it for me. He's a good fighter and his power would trouble a lot of fighters but the great fighters that are being mentioned could do a lot better than 50 yr old Hopkins. If your one of the fans using the tail end of these fighters careers to measure them to Kovalev your obviously biased anyway and there's no getting through to you.

Roid Jones' chin was not good, if Kovalev had landed one good punch on Roid, it would have been lights out.................however, at his prime, Roid was a good fighter with great reflexes, but he always ducked Michalczewski...............

Kovalev too slow and easy to hit. A lot of hype around this guy, even Pascal hurt him in the 4th or 5th round with a body shot. Roy would've danced around him and countered all night. Easy win for Jones.

Roy Jones fought 6 hall of famers,
    Hopkins
    Calzaghe
    Trinidad
    Mccallum
    Hill
    Toney

Four of them were undefeated when they fought him.

He fought 3 guys who might end up there

    Castro
    Pazienza
    Tarver

    Tarver was undefeated.

He won a heavyweight title, titles in 3 classes, and is going for his 4th title at 46.

Kovalev has beaten a 50 year old man and a pretty-decent blown up Super-Middleweight who lost to that old man.

I'd say Pascal is about on the level of Thomas Tate of Roy's employees, Frank's little brother. Tate was 41-7 with 28 KOs. He had three other title shots, and went the distance with two hall-of famers, Julian Jackson and Sven Ottke, but lost all three.

Roy knocked him out in 2, and Tate never landed apunch.

Haha ok i like kov but to say he beats roy ? What u smoking. Roy would run rings round him. Infact he might even ko him if he went for it. If roy didnt want to get hit he didnt, when he wanted to bang he could to that too. Roy wins this.

No he isn't. Far from it in fact. Kov's KO ratio speaks for itself. It is you pathetic Jones nut huggers, who actually are stupid enough to claim Jones can go through fights without getting hit, whilst he takes the other guy out whenever it suits him that are living in cloud cuckoo land.:rofl:rofl

Particularly at Light Heavy, where is KO percentage is FVCK ALL to crow about and where he was put to sleep with ease.

He did it against a blown up lightweight FFS hardly something to brag about and it was one round , has there ever been a Jones fight were he was untuchable for 12 rounds? Surelly there must be plenty for all these groupies saying that kovalev wouldnt lay a glove on Jones when much lesser fighters that Kovalev did it and some with did it regularly like Harding, Griffin 1,Del Valle and even an old Mccallum had reluctant roy afaraid to lead cause he didnt want to get coutered by a 40 year old bodysnatcher.
