he doesn't have what this plank wrote earlier, unless he meant another holmes -

Baer was abysmal,he would get knocked out frequently even by today's poor crop,he would last less than 30 seconds vs prime tyson

If you can't be a serious contender in your own era, you really shouldn't be considered for one in another. Especially if you were the KING of 3 rounders in an era with regular 10-15 rounders.

Galento was Tua fat. Overweight but solid and powerful, with the skills to get under a jab, parry shots, and land his big left hook. He knocked out some good fighters. He would have ****d Butterbean.

whys it not make sense you aren't willing to admit that larry doesnt have a big belly and actually has muscle tone.

Well you don't want to contradict your previous bad post.

he didn't have a big belly.

he did have large shoulders. they were composed of solid muscle, they stand out like a bulls set.

your pure fact is pure butterbean.
#perhaps you mean he didn't have any ABS....lol

Actually, they were the better fighters of their era AKA "The Bum of the Month Club".

They were called bums not because they were, but because of how great the man in the opposoite corner was.

Whereas this era IS full of bums.

Some how I doubt it. No doubt he would have some losses but he'd be amongst the best today.

I think most are miscalcluating Beans speed and decnt jab and power...I find it hard to believe you had 160 pound champs at one time yet are brushing off a 300 pound swarmer who was clearly better than Gallento off as a non factor when even Gallento who is half of Bean knocked down Louis.if Bean connects with his overhand right forget it.Hes definatly a better fighter than most and would most likely decapitate guys like Carnera and Braddock who also knocked down Louis. These are real factors any which way you look at it,and im going by mid 90's /late 90's Bean.Gallento was not remotely better than Bean, wild swings,no balnce and probably was drunk which was said he did in half his fights...less power/speed and chin, put those little tiny gloves on Bean who outweighted Gallento at times by 100 pounds and its one of the easiest fights for Bean had they ever fought each other.Basically it would be a black bear trying to fight a Polar bear, how anyone came up with the conclusion Gallento is better than Bean is beyond me.just watch the Bean k.o highlightes and you will see who is more skillful and dangerous, compared to the sloppiness of a guy who looks like he just walked out of a bar.
