and arum paid for hernandez cancer threatments ^

Mayweather funded a golden glove tournament in michigan too. Turkey giveaways on tanksgiving ... a couple other things.

He isn't as bad as people make him out to be.

I think beating up the mother of your children, in front of your child is pretty tough to make up for... But yeah he's a great guy.

    mayweather even giving money is
equivalent as the common dude giving 1 cent to a homeless person(its not a big deal)

He was locked up and by the judicial system of the United States, he's paid his debt to society.

We forgive but don't forget and move on.

He didn't beat her up. He grabbed her hair and arms to restrain her and pushed her in a physical altercation that was initiated by her attacking him. At least, that is the more credible report (substantiated by an eyewitness mutual acquaintance) in the absence of bruises. Had a pro boxer struck actual blows on a woman in anger she wouldn't be without a mark.

That's my conclusion as well. And if you look at the kind of women he associates himself with (gold diggers) it's not far fetched for them to try to squeeze money out of him. His attitude landed him jail more than the evidence I think.

I'm only looking at the circumstance and am not exonerating him.

Under normal circumstances this would be true but you have to take into account this is mayweather we're talking about

Yeah, Floyd beat up the mother of his children. But woman beaters aren't uncommon in boxing. Just look at Sugar Ray Robinson.

...who actually struck women using a closed-fist, as did LaMotta and many old-timers back in an era when men in general did such things rather openly and more or less got away with it. Not the same as grabbing & restraining a woman (and even not bothering to be too gentle about it, eg twisting her arm, shoving, etc.) as she attacks you.

Kind of an important distinction, actually.

Or do you really want to compare the wildly belligerent Josie Harris with past victims of chronic, horrifically severe, culturally tolerated domestic abuse? :think

It actually is a very appropriate point.
