Pascal wasnt hurt

I don't believe Jean Pascal was hurt at all in the 8th round.

I believe pascal was trying to Do the Conga, hopefully having the Canadian crowd to join along as they dance outside onto the streets of montreal and to have a street party. He just forgot the ropes were in his way. :hey

I'm glad kovalev got the win but taking the **** out of a brave guy that actually came to fight is pretty pathetic.

Good stoppage

Take a look at pascals legs the last two rounds.

i dont care what anybody says, i still think it was a bad stoppage, im not saying it was not going to be stopped, and i had kovy winning this a UD before the fight....but i think the ref, and that specific moment was a bad stoppage, i mean he just let them fight again after pascal got rocked and kovalev slipped, after the ref lets the fight again, kovy lands 2 punches and ref stops the fight, but those 2 punches were not devastating punches, so at that moment it WAS a bad stoppage....if the ref had of jumped in a waved the fight off before where pascal was getting rocked and kovalev slipped, i would have been fine with that, but to allow them to fight and kovalev only lands 2 punches and they stop it? bad stoppage, it should have been stopped just before that, or wait until pascal is through the ropes or on the ground again...i hope if there is ever a rematch, there will be a different ref

 

I sure wish the ref had those headband cams we seen on PBC the other day for a situation like this. You have to remember we can't see everything he does, namely, the eyes. Which I'm willing to bet Pascal's eyes looked to be in la la land which we probably would've saw with that headband cam. All that said, I, and the vast majority of posters did not need that headband for this one, but it may have helped some of you.

Kovalev did fine. Now it is time for the other fight: Stevenson
Kovalev shouldn't be caught by Stevenson the way Pascal caught him.

This is accurate. And now Pascal has to endure another 6+ rounds of blows to the head. It would have been better for Pascal if he was knocked out cold.
