I don't think he would have got a ton of credit for Rocky to be honest.... Though beating DM, Calzaghe and Byrd, I think he makes the top 10. Edit- Thinking about it Calzaghe is a tricky one too.. He wasn't known here when Roy was prime, he probably wouldn't have got too much credit for him either.
Does anyone else think Roy would be able to put a hard left hook after one of those right hands landed? I wanted to see that from Pascal, I think it would have hurt Kovalev.
You don't punch after you been tagged with powerful shot, you cover up and take a step back if possible. Someone who never been in ring would not understand this, obviously.
I am talking about Roy tagging Kovalev with a right hand and following with a hard left hook.atsch Pascal landed some hard right hands but never landed a good left hook after.
I doubt it, although it's all subjective, and people rate fighters on H2H. Personally, I don't think he'd have gotten much credit for a victory over Roch. I agree with Mind, regarding Joe. It's tricky. If Roy could somehow have beaten him in 2008, that would have been a great win. But if he'd have beaten him in the early 00's, he wouldn't have gotten much credit to the time, and that would only have changed had Joe gone on to do what he did or similar. But if he'd have lost to Roy earlier on his career, there's no way of knowing how that would have effected him, and how the rest of his career had unfolded. I think a good win over Dariusz would have been respected and rated, but Byrd not so much. So I don't think he'd be in many people's top ten, even with the above wins. :good

Golovkin was not tagged. His opponent barely touched his forehead while golovkin already had his feet set and had his right hand swinging. If the punch that his opponent did, would've landed to the chin there would not be a punch from golovkin. Hand would've dropped. Anyways that is stupid comparison to kovalevs right. That example is from close distance wild exchange and Kovalev's right always comes from far distance and if it hits- lights out...
Thanks. I should've hung around a little longer so I could watch it before I went to bed. I slept like **** last night too, even though I was knackered. lol
