    Yeah that's a good point. Hopefully not everybody has a maniac ESB/BN24 fanboy in their ear to cloud their judgment. Most casual probably don't have too many fanatics in their lives ...let's hope and can be won over without prejudice.

    How much would it shake up the boxing world and p4p rankings if Monroe and Sosa both snatch the faves' zeroes? :yep (aside from at least one lunatic somewhere cashing out millions in some mad parlay)

    I mean, sure, HBO would immediately switch their promotional focus without skipping a beat to Monroe Jr. (dumping Golovkin by the wayside) and market him as "the next big thing" and be sure to lock him down under contract (sort of a reverse situation as what happened with Pirog vs. Jacobs, where the European wasn't meant to beat the golden child American but did) - but how would that impact the lower weights? Death knell for HBO ever taking a chance on them again? Sosa is a bit old to imagine them getting behind marketing him in a multi-fight deal.

    Gonzalez should fight Narvaez like Inoue just did, before he declines too much or retires. That would do great things for his legacy, like it did for Donaire.

    No dominant or unbeaten champs to hype up, so you'd need someone who was exciting and knocking everybody out. Enter the always entertaining, Denis Lebedev. Alternatively, you could get Marco Huck into some unification matches with Drozd and Hernandez, maybe do it like a super six tournament thing.

    If there's a post about Gonzalez taking a fight, I can't help but mention that Raymi called him out publicly last year and is higher ranked than this Sosa guy. Seem fair?
