How do you rate Tim Bradley?

Yeah, you right about that but that's the way it is. I'm sure that you are well aware of that. Guys squeeze down there for the advantage or perceived advantage on fight night.

 

Welterweight career in entirety:
2010- Luis Abregu - W UD, comfortable decision
2012- Manny Pacquiao I - W SD, should have been comfortable win for Pac
2013- Ruslan Provodnikov - W UD, razor close war
2013- Juan Manuel Marquez - W SD, comfortable decision
2014- Manny Pacquiao II - L UD, comfortable decision
2014- Diego Chaves - DRAW, should have been close win for Bradley

His best wins are Marquez and Alexander. His resume at 140 was great but at WW he goes as far as the win over 40 year old, fresh off KTFO6 win, Marquez goes.

 

Half of the rounds were certainly close enough that depending on what you favor and how you see it, I mean, I guess you could give all of them to Bradley and it wouldn't be as bad as some scoring Bradley's fights with Marquez, Chaves, and Provodnikov against Bradley, which some have. So, that should tell you everything about it being a "bad decision" or a "massive robbery." It was a bad decision. Some folks can't separate their biases and some are just swayed by the media too much (can't tell you how many people I've seen who rag constantly on Fat Dan non-stop yet were quick to point out his 119-109 scorecard for Pacquiao and how it was factual gospel from above... to which I say, yes, well he scored Hopkins/Pascal II to Pascal and, even worse, scored Ortiz/Berto to Berto in addition to loads of other bad scorecards). Everyone is capable of seeing certain things differently. Sort of like how I scored Broner/Paulie a draw but a scorecard to either fighter is certainly not an unfair score. There are close rounds and there are wide rounds. Close rounds can be close in the opposite of how you feel for someone who slightly values different things for fitting the scoring criteria in the ring.

 

Yeah of course "real welterweight" by the definition of bygone eras (same-day weigh-ins etc) would be different but going by the modern definitions you wouldn't call PBF or Pacman real welters, IMO, things being as they are.

That is his 3rd best WW W in reality (after Pac I and Marquez) as well as his adjusted best WW W if you 'corrected' all the decisions to make Pac I a loss and Chaves a W (it would then be #1 Marquez #2 Chaves and #3 Abregu, close behind Chaves)

 

I don't trust anyone who says the majority of rounds in Pacquiao vs. Bradley I or II weren't super close.

Even if you had it wide for Pac, giving most or all of the swing rounds to him, you have to acknowledge that nearly all of their combined 24 rounds together were close and competitive over each three minute period.

 

Bradley at WW is a C+ fighter at best but at JWW he's A+. I think his punching power was more useful at JWW than it was at WW. I was more sold on Bradley at JWW but not that sold on him at WW even though he made that fight close against Pacman the first fight and even a little in the second fight.

The reason is his power and WW is more stacked than JWW and always been. Think about it, in the WW Division we have Floyd,Manny,Thurman,Porter,Brook,Khan,Guerrero,Spence(prospect); but in the JWW you have Garcia,Peterson,Mattysse,Broner and that's really it:huh

I rated Bradley as a C+ fighter at WW based around his competition but if you throw Bradley in the mix of JWW fighters theirs a good chance he cleans that division out, but when you see Bradley struggling with Provodnikov, Chaves, and being dominated by Pacman? Bradley really hasn't done much at WW compared to his run at JWW.

 

I thought the commentarors were sore on Bradley in the second fight, I thought pacquio missed a lt. No problem with the decisiion though

Bradley is a fighter that I appreciate and enjoy watching

I do think he has reached his ceiling, I don't know I had high hopes he could beat Manny in the rematch and he fought a good fight but then got hurt and really stopped fighting

I thought the Chavez fight was an eye opener. I scored it for Bradley but only 115-113. It was a close fight and he struggled mightily

I get the idea his time is running out, he is injury prone, he lacks power, he can be hurt, I feel like hes gonna get into another fight similar to Provodnikov but the opponent doesn't tire like Provodnikov did

I like Bradley some how I think he is in trouble down the road
