Just wondering what you guys think of Povetkin's win over Klitschko's win.

Takam should've had a win over Perez. I thought the draw was a bit of bull. He also went into that fight having a win over Thompson just like Pulev.

Ive never been impressed with Pulev, he as always been a big stiff. Id go with the Takem win. Both fighters at least showed heart and the ability to dig down.

Depends on how you rate overcoming adversity. Klitschko seemed to have an easier fight whereas Povetkin was in a s****. Is Klitschko more impressive because he was more dominate or is Povetkin more impressive because he had to overcome a higher level of competition? Sort of a "is the glass half full or is the glass half empty?" situation.

I say Klitschko's win was better but Povetkin's win was more entertaining.

I guess that's one way to look at it. Klitschko handled Pulev rather easily while Povetkin was struggling with Takam; although, one can argue Takam was better than Pulev. It's something we don't really know, though, unless they fight each other. I missed Takam/Thompson. I didn't really see if Takam handled Thompson any easier than Pulev.

Wlad's performance was far superior than Povetkin's.

Povetkin was losing after 8 rounds, being outboxed by Takam.

Takam wouldn't even win 1 round against Wlad or prime Vitali.

Pulev was labeled as many ( also here ) as the one to outbox wlad tho, so good win.

Klits win over Pulev i think was better.

Pov's win over Takam was a great fight but it just showed how tough Povetkin is.

Klits win proved again that he is the guy with the most skills for now among the big men.

I really like Povetkin, however, he really isn't that extraordinary. He does everything well. Really well in fact. He just doesn't do anything that is off the charts. His hand speed is really good but not off the charts, his power is really good but not awesome, in fact Povetkin is really good in just about all areas he is just not awesome in any area. Maybe heart but i don't think that will be enough to get him on top. One of the best heavy's in the world, just not the best.

The fact that several posters seemed (hopefully they woke up) to think that Pulev was both better than Povetkin and stylistically had a better chance against Wladimir made that fight going in seem bigger than it really was. He was neither. And his resume was one fight short of being equally paper thin to the Wilders' and Fury's of the world that everyone loves to point to when talk off a weak resume emerges.

I suspect Takam really may be one of the best HW's out there, and certainly was on a great two-fight-performance heading into the Povetkin fight, but that would just be my opinion and prediction. Unless Takam does a lot more from now on than Pulev, Klitschko's multiple KD knockout win is certainly better. Although if you want to watch the better HW duel for entertainment purposes, Povetkin vs. Takam will not disappoint... 2014 was the year of the Povetkin knockout. Had a couple beauties.
