:huh not as though he's much bigger than the Wards Froch's etc ? he is only 6 foot.

I don't get what the reason is ? his overall bulk is that of a cruiserweight or something ?

GGG moves up to 168 , kovalev moves down to 168 !

    Too much muscle mass.

This just in. Some guys have a higher natural weight than others...

    Shocking I know.

Joe Frazier was 5'11 210-230lbs. Dwight Muhammad qawi was 5'7 max look at his picture with marvin hagler.

Actually look at a picture of qawi against the young leaner Holyfield. The head and shoulders were massive.

Kovalev is naturally a lot bigger than GGG, froch. Slightly bigger than ward.

Beterbiev looks like a cruiserweight for me. But then again. He is very muscular at lhw. The cruiserweights are small heavyweights. Nothing more.

Kathy Duva says Kovalev struggles mightily every fight to make the LHW limit. Article where she talks about it is on the scene of boxing and was published/posted right after the Pascal weigh in.

He will never fight at 168. Ever.

then you're blind - because those guys come to the ring about 176lbs and Kovalev was 189 last night. He can't make the cut to 168lbs.

Go to bed it's getting late.

I think some of his early pro fights were at 168. Clearly he now prefers 175.

Kovalev should fight the winner of Mayweather/Pac at WW. After all he is only 6ft.

    Not at Super Middleweight.

Need I remind you, Glen Johnson found success at 160 & 175 but was passed around like a bum in both his spells at 168.

That is because 168 pounds is the average size of the British man and thus the strongest division in boxing history, with history's best ever boxer at the mountain peak: The Fighting Pride of Newbridge Wales: Joe Calzaghe.

(With the likes of Eubank, Benn, Froch & Collins leading the chasing pack, and the likes of Groves, DeGale, Rocky Fielding and Callum Smith soon to join :deal)

Kovalev is massive for a light heavyweight, he has little muscle and a massive frame. He should move up to cruiser rather than down to super middle. He looked a weight division bigger than Pascal and Hopkins.

Actually he was a pound lighter than Pascal if I'm not wrong.
