just because Ali called himself the greatest doesn't mean he was (and he definately wasn't) surely Greb, Robinson, Tunney or Willie Pep is TBE ?
Resume wise, Its extremely hard not to call Clay/Ali the greatest. Fought everyone and defiled the odds on allot occasions. But not just as a boxer but he was charismatic, his "trash" talk was comical but could back it up. Intelligent. Thought and fought how no one ever could think possible. He had it all. Speed, Power, Defense, Stamina, Intelligence, Foot work, and Charisma (Charm). However, H2H, I'd favor Lewis and Holmes beating him.
I got no problem with anyone putting SRR at the top, but for me its Langford. In my opinion any fighter who can beat ATG's from lightweight to heavyweight is the epitome of p4p.
Langford would have destroyed Robinson Langford would have destroyed Charlie burley who Some say Robinson ducked. Forget the black murderers row Sam Langford would have been the executioner
Ok padded may have been the wrong term but his opposition, considering he's been in over 200 fights is less than stellar aside from a few good names. I don't blame him for it but it does take away from his legacy in my opinion.
