Moonves probably would have forced the fight anyway.

What happened to Mayweather being forced to take this fight? If I remember correctly, this fight was all but a done deal in 2010. It fell apart because Manny didn't want to undergo random blood testing because he claimed it weekened him for 3 days. Now of course, Manny has all his opponents undergo random blood testing. Let's also not forget that Pacquiao's side turned down an offer to fight Mayweather in May of 2012. Instead, they wanted the fight to take place in June of 2012; a time when they knew Mayweather would be in jail.

the drug testing could've been handled in a different manner, it was the way it was handled. Floyd's team accused him of using PEDs and this infuriated Manny. He took them to court for defamation. This is probably why things never worked out. You don't go on accusing someone like Manny of using PEDs and them demand drug testing, what the F is that? manny was p4p king at the time, not Floyd and this was just utter classless by Mayweathers.

Had Floyd approached it in a different manner, maybe things would've been different.

Also i underatnd being concerned with getting your blood drawn a couple of days before a huge fight, drawing blood can weaken someone and why the f is Manny gonna risk not being 100% for a huge fight. Now, as i understand it, Manny did agree to drug testing, just not too close to fight time and may weather's didn't want to do it.

It was floyd aiming it difficult, he hadn't requested this of anyone before. SCARED

Pacquiao came up with an unprecedented demand first, he demanded $10M for every pound Mayweather was overweight. Mayweather accepted it with no problem. Mayweather agreed to fight him in March of 2010 instead of May of 2010 to accomadate Manny as well. All Manny had to do was get a couple of blood tests and the fight would've happened 5 years ago. However he refused. He made up an excuse about being weekened for 3 days when getting blood drawn. Anyone with half a brain knows that's a lie.

Wait, aren't you a part of the crowd that believes Mayweather was forced into taking this fight?

That's not true. Manny was offered a 14 day window before the fight where no blood would be drawn in 2010. He turned it down.

ofcourse Floyd himself said it was the right time and manny is not the same fighter.

Floyd is very good at picking the right time to fight fighters

Well regardless of anyones opinion, the fight is about 6 weeks away. Respect to both fighters for stepping up. With that said, we will see why TR and Team Pacquiao never really wanted the fight. Floyd stops Manny within 8:bbb

So instead of taking the test, testing clean and then beating Floyd he takes him to court?:patsch

Look man , let's not kid our self's. When Manny denied testing it took all of us by suprise. Remember, the drug testing was not a big deal until Manny denied it. No one thought anything of it until Manny made it a issue. When news on the drug testing first surfaced, it was said it was not a issue with Manny's team, then he denied it and the news caught like wild fire.

speak for yourself it never took all of use by surprise infact if I recall correctly everyone was surprised how mayweather was using peds to avoid the fight hence why everyone called Floyd a coward and not manny

Back then I blamed Pac for not taking the drug test but year after year I've been more skeptical about Floyds willingness. People say that if Manny would have taken the test the fight would have been made but now I'm not so sure. We have no assurance the fight would push through had Manny agreed. Floyd has a habit of moving the goal post when 1 demand had been met, first the 50/50 split, then it was drug testing with a 14 day cutoff, then it had to be till the day of the fight, then Manny lost to Bradley, he lost to Marquez, he has to leave Arum, then he needs to sign to TMT, then he has to have a few fights under TMT... Floyd had excuse after excuse lined up. Yeah Manny took Floyd to court and he won.
