Per Fat Dan, in today's chat.

Was the issue the money offered, or the opponent? :think

Ward-Vlasov, August 8th, Oakland, for a bit less than the "regular" 2M...

...who says no to that one, Ward or HBO?

I thought he was mandated to fight Froch end of May early June anyway? Does that mean he's looking to go to LHW instead?

2 mil is what Kovalev and Pascal got...for 3 belts on the line.
HBO won't put up with Ward's demands to fight a tune up in Oakland that nobody will watch

It's sad Robney because for a fighter so damn talented he prices himself out of getting in the ring. He can go to the UK make more than he has in his whole career beat Froch get put back on the map but refuses to be B side. The Froch fight was mandated like a month ago and instead he's trying to fight someone else in the same frame of time he is supposed to fight Froch. Just so Froch can't tell him where to make MILLiONS. I'm in a wheelchair Id fight Froch for a lot less and a handshake.

Why would HBO deny that fight? Oosthuizen is undefeated and has beaten some notable opponents. Plus, it's Ward's comeback fight, so I'm not sure why would HBO say no.

Vlasov is a pretty weak fight. I guess Oosthuizen would be a decent s**** but isn't he a LHW now?

yes, his former promoter dropped him because he apparently was too lazy to train properly to make 168, but to be fair, he has a huge frame for SMW

Their not stupid if he gets that fight for May 30th that means he wouldn't be fighting Froch around that time a winnable fight where HBO could make money possibly.

Oosthuizen just won IBO lhw belt, why does Ward want to drain another light heavy belt holder and fight him?

Good Oosthuizen should have lost to Brandon Gonzalez who DeGale just smashed last year it would have been a terrible match. Vlasov ain't that great either.
