Easy to set up to throw lead rights on a come forward target, back Pac steps side to side and backwards.

Is too much stock being put in his two most recent southpaw dominations?

It makes no case at all considering the last counter puncher he faced almost killed him with a counter punch, while Floyd dominated every southpaw he faced...Manny struggles with counter punchers and that is a pure fact

I think unless the counter puncher is someone like Hearns he's fine with them and would beat most. I think the recipe to beat him is to push the pace and don't let him get comfortable in there.

    That's not "a pure fact."

He 12-0'd Marquez with ease and he's one of if not the best counter puncher he's faced.

Some of his most difficult fights were against Castillo and Maidana, who were the polar opposites of a counter puncher.

The only elite counter puncher he has ever faced was Jmm and in 4 fights he was outboxed 3 times and almost killed in 1

Mayweather very rarely punches when his opponent is punching. And when he does, there is not much behind it.

    Mayweather is very cautious.

Marquez through caution in the wind, which is why he sustained a concussion. Marquez also has a very different style than Mayweather.

Marquez is a combination throwing, offensive counterpuncher.

Mayweather is safety first. And I don't believe that Mayweather was dominating Ortiz. Ortiz was having success. He manage to time Mayweather multiple times during the fight.

It was a shame that the fight didn't go on any longer. It would have been interesting to see.

Unfortunately, Mayweather whispered something in Ortiz ear, and then the incident happened.

    It is what it is.

Floyd does not have to punch with Manny to counter him, he has the longer reach and knows distance better,,, Ortiz landed under 30 punches in 4 rounds

I don't think there is any evidence that Floyd struggles with counterpunchers because he hasn't faced very many.

However, I do imagine a guy like Lara would give Floyd a lot of trouble, but it would be a terrible fight for viewers.

last counterpuncher Pac faced had two things Floyd lacks badly

ballz and punching power. Floyd cant replicate what Marquez did without those things (he might have power now that hes roiding under Marquez' same PED guru, though, we'll have to see)

Floyd will get overwhelmed by Pac's superior workrate and pressure from all angles, Pac's not your average slow plodder bum opponent for Floyd, Pac will bully Floyd, like Maidana and make him look helpless at times, just in every round, not just 4 like Chino did. Pac has infinite stamina when he trains

Ortiz landed a lot more punches than compubox gives him credit for. I was impressed with some of the shots Oritiz was begging to land on Floyd's body.

It doesn't matter what the statistics say anyway. None of that matters on May 2nd because Pacquaio will leave no doubt.

Mayweather does have a longer reach; however, his style of keep away boxing will not deter Pacquaio who will prove to easily nullify Floyd's reach, by pushing Floyd on the defensive and timing Floyd's defensive maneuvers.

Pacquaio is explosive enough to do this, plus the angles he utilizes will give Floyd fits, especially given Floyd's stance and boxing style, which is not similar to Marquez'.

What will be most surprising (to all of you) is the way Pacquaio manages to counter Floyd with shots Floyd will not see coming.

Most people wrongly consider Pacquaio to be a slugger, so they will not know what to think when they see this happening.

No, it's Pacs chin. Too much stock is being put into Pacs angles of punching when his chin has let him down in a few fights. :good
