Yeah, like he could even find GGG. Helenius isnt exactly a fast handed fighter. GGG, could come into the ring at 190, and duck dodge and potshot Helenius up and down, and sneak out of the clinch while banging hard shots to the liver and solar plexus. Yeah, Helenius could probably KO GGG if he lures GGG into a war, but Golovkin is SOOOOOOOOOO much more than a simple minded plodder. nono:nono His footwork and handspeed are incredibly underrated.deal
Watching him against Chisora doesn't mean he's as bad as Wach. It means Chisora was a very good fighter at his best. Wach is just bad. Helenius is miles better than him. Watch how Hilenius toy'd with Peters before blowing him out cold with a beautiful short hook combination and watch how Wladimir went life and death with Sam Peters.
Dang bro. I agree that Chisora is not a top 10 HW, but he's no less than a top 30, even if he finishes with a similar record as Francis. Fact is, Francis, NOT ONCE, beat a fighter the calibre of Malik Scott, Edmund Gerber, Andrej Pala, Kevin Johnson, Sam ***ton, or Danny Williams. You are SERIOUSLY underrating DelBoy. DelBoys problem is that he's fought the who's who of a great boxing era. He's NEVER ducked a single fight. And he was prepared to fight a top 5 ATG in only his 15th professional fight. His win over Helenius is tainted b/c Helenius came in injured, but a rematch, which is likely later this year, would be on even ground(though Helenius is still likely a shell of the man who KOd 3 ex champions inside his 15th pro fight. However, Chisora and Helenius are both top 30 HWs, and are both a win or two away from another eliminator, or at the very least, the EU title.:thumbsup
For ONCE we agree. However, Helenius was able to take Peter's hard L hooks and OH R's, whereas Wlad had to maintain distance, working behind the jab, and tying up inside due to his lesser punch resistance. Chisora beat a pre-fight broken Helenius. If the Helenius who fought Peter was fighting Chisora, we may well never knew who Chisora is by now.:yep
He is 30 years old and freed from the contract, so how is his career over? He was injured against Chisora. His injuries to his shoulder, hand and throat may indeed have lowered his overall potential, but if healthy he would have knocked Chisora out early. I hope he makes a full recovery. Uh, perhaps you missed the fact that he has power in either fist and a very good chin proven against good punchers like Brewtser and Peter? Heavyweights have won titles with far less than Rob's package of size, chin, and two-fisted power.
That's the thing, he's not free from his contract. http://bit.ly/1AWKp4g "A court ruling on Wednesday declared that unbeaten heavyweight Robert Helenius is still under contract with Sauerland Event." The last time he knocked somebody out was 4 years ago. Now with the contract disputes and everything I simply think he cannot go back to where he was(B-grade), let alone any farther.
he is better than wach, if his power has returned. otherwise wach is better, and helenius should retire.
Dude... you think Golovkin goes up to HW and beats Helenius? Wtf are you smoking? The GGG hypetrain has truly lost all control
I agree with what your saying about Chisora, I would pick him to beat overrated guys like Glazkov or Pulev pretty handily. But Helenius wasn't injured going into the fight. He hurt his hand punching Chisoras head
