ward maybe basing it from his purse against e rodriguez....he got 1.9mil.

what's happening with ward is that his entertainment value has been dropping. he's almost in the rigo level now.

Rigo's last fight drew over 11 million viewers in Japan, Ward's last fight did 10 times less in the US

Ward fights on HBO, which is a premum network TV.
    Rigo fought on free TV.
If you dont follow then think about all the fuzz with PBC on NBC

Rigo also went up against Uchiyama, also on Free TV, which drew around 5,000,000

So it'd be like the PBC on NBC out drawing a free to air UFC card 2:1

Now thats a whole different story. Every fighter has a different effect on a market.
And on the Rigo card were Katsunari Takayama, Kazuto Ioka, Ryo Miyazaki and other local attractions. That card was stacked and on new years eve. (its a tradition there)

But thats the power of free TV. Mike Tyson drew 40 something million on free TV. HBO has 38 million subscribers. Boxing usually breaks 1 million households with each show.

I don't think they'd be denying them if Ward accepted a modest purse for a tune-up. He's likely asking north of 1M for a Vlasov type.

So what are we to glean from this? I don't see any links.

So is Roc Nation still going to promote the fight or not?

Will they now say, "Remember all those millions and millions wwe were promising fighters who sign with us? Well, that's only if HBO or someone else comes up with those millions."

I guess ward would rather fight a no power out of shape b level guy than fight Froch. Can't blame him. He does have a sandy ******....

SOB Ward will only fight in his home town, with his personal referee, judges and boxing commission....................Ward wants to fight winos for millions...................If Ward were to fight Froch in the UK he could make huge money, but he needs his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc.

Definitely the biggest payday of his career. With the WBA rules saying he gets like 75% of the pot he's going to make more money than the draw Froch. WBA mandated Ward-Froch and it's supposed To happen May/June but if Ward is trying to set up other fights I wonder if he is vacating. Ego won't let him fight in UK. Hopefully JZ talks some sense into him.

JZ might thug him into a lesser deal, for Wards own good.
