One of boxing's true nice guys also...!!! Roach Jr decisioned Maliek Montgomery in the amatuers in 2013. Montgomery was involved in a hit-and-run accident while jogging in August 2014...!!! Montgomery suffered a broken jaw among other injuries...!!! Roach Jr. donated his last 3 fight purses in 2014 to Montgomery's family to help pay for the bills...!!! I worked with Montgomery during some of his amatuer days in Tennessee and here in Georgia, and I had the pleasure of meeting Roach Jr. Very humble man, very polite, will do anything for anyone. Loves to pay back his fans by signing autographs, posing for pictures, giving away t-shirts, etc. GBP needs to push guys like Roach Jr. into the forefront, he can increase fan support just by being the great humble guy he is...!!!
