If Boytsov fully recovers from his injuries, he will be at the top for sure. He has tons of potential and very heavy handed.............He would beat Wilder right now..............

 

Boytsov has all the tools to fight at the top, I just don't think he has the desire..

Boytsov got his shіt pushed by Alex Leapai, who was shut out by Malik Scott.

Boytsov is another C-level fighter with extremely padded record, like Tye Fields and Faruq Salem

Malik Scott would make Boytsov his *****, and Wilder destroys Denis early.

Boytsov looked better than he has lately. His boxing skills looked sharp, very much keeping his balance, good footwork, keeping his guard up and tight, throwing good, well timed reaction punches.

His fight versus Leapai looked like he prepared wrong for boxing. The way he was sluggish suggested that he didn't train that hard or mistakenly focused on "strength" training :-(

 

Boystov wasn't at his best against Leapai, watch some earlier clips of him. The kid definitely had skills, but looks like they left him after years of poor handling/promotion, well-documented party lifestyle, nagging injuries and so on. He's only 29 but he's been a round for along time, he should have been stepping up 4-5, maybe even 6 years ago. Truly a waste of potential. Hopefully he can get his stride going again, and show us what he has to offer if fully dedicated. He's on a decent 3 fight streak over named journeyman, next ideal step is a rematch with Leapai. Erasing that embarrassing loss is the first step to redemption, and getting back into the mix..

Btw. Unfair to compare him to guys like Fields, and Salem those guys especially Salem rarely ever beat mid level journeyman and was exposed by an unheralded guy with a losing record who was stopped by Gerber in 1.... Boystov is MUCH better than Fields and Salem, unfair comparison. :nono

 

Lets hope that loss was a wake up call for him. He looked much better last night I agree, way more fluid, coordinated and loose. Definitely looks like he's been training hard again. Time to rematch Leapai.

 

He could've been much better, but he hasn't heart and desire for boxing. He's so often unmotivated.

He wouldn't beat Wilder as someone wrote. No way. Wilder has better speed, is much taller and hits way harder.

That loss to Leapai was embarassing. Leapai is so unskilled and slow. He lost every round to Malik Scott.

 

I still have some hope for him... He's still young, and maybe, just maybe the loss to Leapai was the wake up call he needed. Lets hope so. :good
