me too man. dont stop the boxing talk though as this is my most successful thread in my 8 years on this place (muchos gracias fellas) and i sure as hell dont want it getting deleted!

eaum..... kovalev eventually catches him and stuns him with a stiff jab

a stiff jab from Kovalev would have him all shook up :hey

Thanks for starting the thread, I have had fun.:good

I was watching Kovalev highlights last night on demand HBO... Guy is a monster for sure..

His jab is powerful, and he is a good body puncher too, just all around great puncher and a skilled boxer.

Jones would have to fight a perfect fight, and land some big shots early.

Its sure nice to bring some Lounge flavour back to this place, i hardly ever used to post on the General until they took that place down. So its fun bringing some of that back. Man i miss that place a lot

Ive learnt more about Jones on this single thread than i have in all my years following boxing  thanks to all the major contributers :good

    It's been a pleasure.

I had a quick look on the boxrec forum yesterday, as I do from time to time, and there was a thread regarding Roy. There were a few posters saying how hugely overrated he was. I couldn't believe it. I think he's incredibly underrated. I think if he was prime today, there'd be 5 threads per day on here discussing him.

This thread has been great, and it will simply get bumped every time Kov fights. It will run for a long time.

That sounds like somethin from Dragon Ball Z

I use something kinda similar - i sometimes run in the water (not got it down as well as Jesus yet though) - and do various exercises against the pressure of water. Even just a half a minute's sprinting in the swimming pool deep end is exhausting

    Kovalev is slow and clumsy.
Jones gives him a serious beating.

He has to boxrec some stuff then come back. He comes back thinking he knows boxing, but gets found out in double quick time.

 He doesn't watch anything, when he hears a fight is close, he scores it for the black American, and if it goes the other way, it's a robbery. I.e.:

    Calzaghe- Hopkins- robbery
    Dirrell- Froch robbery
    Mayweather- Castillo- right guy won
Broner- De Leon- right guy won
    Bradley-Pacquiao- right guy won

    You get the picture.
