Anyone else find it crazy that Mayweather fought Maidana 2 times?

People forget all about that. I thought Mayweather clearly won, but many were saying Maidana gave him his toughest fight in years. That made Maidana the most viable opponent for September. I seriously doubt Mayweather would've taken the rematch if he had a better option.

 

I had the first fight 6-6 and thought a rematch was required. I think there are a lot of people on here that will agree with this.

Floyd won the rematch clearly.

 

Unification fight between 2 Champ's lead to a close competitive fight, due to that the guy who lost his title got 1st crack at trying to win it back. Don't see the problems really

If he hadn't rematched Maidana, the "Maidana won" wackos would never have stopped crying "duck!"

Thus Mayweather simply cannot win. Except every time he gets in a ring.

Actually they were both (Maidana I and Castillo I, that is) close fights that Mayweather won, so they're directly comparable. :good

 

He also won Castillo I.

They were both close fights. There was demand for a rematch both times...so he fought rematches.
