I've always said (I think) that I see Pac's chance coming in the way of capitalizing as much as possible on any time he can catch Floyd with a solid shot and stun him a bit. Those shots will come in one of two ways: 1) Straight left. Basically accepting the risk of the counter and trying to catch Floyd with a lucky shot. 2) Right hook counter punch. I think Manny will look to catch Floyd when he comes in for that straight to the body. The few people that have stunned Floyd just were not able to seal the deal but I think Manny will be able to. That's his biggest shot. And if Manny's can't cut off the ring, he'll be in big trouble too.

That's cute, you're so livid about Mayweather that you've made up a fantasy world of your own where he's 42-5. :crybaby

Well, whatever helps you sleep at night son. :thumbsup

When Pacquiao gets schooled and you feel your own enraged bile overflowing and choking you up, just remember all those excuses you've got lined up already. Then you can pretend Mayweather is 42-6! :)

Most definitely not We all saw what happened. If they let Bayless & the vegas mafia officiate Manny would have to Ko Floyd 3 times to earn a draw

Problem is manny doesn't back people up to the ropes.... he's not the offensive fighter everything thinks he is in my opinion. He gets that title from throwing alot of shots but does this with an in out style he doesn't push fighters about and back into the ropes... This could actually be a dull fight because both are actually very good counter punchers but mannys more wild and throws more punches from the outside but that'l be his downfall because he leaves himself open alot & floyd has the reach advantage, a fairly big one too.

Floyds gotta keep turning him to his right, sell him feints and he should be able to land quite a few clean shots and as the fight goes on manny will defo get more wild and desperate and as crazy as it sound the KO could happen.

Where did I say 42-5 ????? I said 45-2. Oscar deserved a draw too. I'm not livid about Floyd I just see him for what he is. A very talented boxer with the cojones of a gnat.
Both Bayless & Cortez acted as bodyguards against Maidana & Hatton not referees. Tony Wilkes called Maidana 1 straight down the middle Floyd got his ass kicked.
If the Mayweather - Pacquaio is called straight down the middle like Wilkes did his fight & no Vegas mafia judge Manny can win. I'll lay odds Bayless is ref & Floyds homies judge. Floyd has NEVER given any dangerous opponent a level playing field no reason to think he'll change now

I do agree with hatton but come on.. what maidana did in the first fight, how manny back of the head shots/low blows can you throw and get away with...

Show me a fight where manny pacquaio fights on the inside in a grappling style where the ref could jump in etc... he doesn't fight this way. I don't understand how people see the ref playing any part in this fight.

Tony wilkes lol its tony weeks..

    What are you talking about?

Even at the most basic level, this fight favors Pacquaio. It's a classic match up of a volume puncher against a boxer.

Stylistically, the volume puncher has the advantage.

The way to beat a volume puncher is to hurt them badly and make them fear throwing punches, with the ultimate goal to make them completely capitulate.

Do you believe that Floyd is capable of doing this?

To beat a boxer, you rain punches on their ass from every imaginable angle. Who does this sound like?

Of course each boxer brings their own skillset to the table, but fundamentally, this is what the fight is about.

If volume/pressure fighter is at an advantage why does the boxer always come out on top, whether it be over one fight or a few?

If you think Pac doesn't stand a chance then you haven't been watching boxing for very long.

I think Floyd will win, but it is damn near impossible to call how their styles will actually gel come may 2nd. I can see a Pac victory.

Frazier beat Ali the first time, and same with Duran vs Leonard.

    And Hearns knocked Duran out.

That's what you're supposed to do.

Just because a boxer is associated with a certain style, doesn't mean that they can't adapt their style to their opponent.

Not only that, but there are physical characteristics that are individual to each fight. For example, a fighter that can knock volume punchers out at a lighter weight, may find that as he moved up in weight, the volume punchers completely overwhelm them.

You have to do what gives you the best opportunity to win the fight.

Why did Angulo have so much success with Lara???

At the fundamental level, all things relatively equal, the formula works. You just don't understand boxing very well and have poor critical thinking skills.

To damn bad.. I'm part of the mafia and we plan on ruining Pac gladiator style.. Instead of stabbing him though, we will kidnap him, tie him up in the basement, and inject him with with antipeds under his armpit.. Then we will clone Floyd 4x and change the clones appearance.. Those clones will be used as the judges and ref.. I'm telling you all of this because no one would believe it...

mayweather got old overnight, it happens to the best of them. one day you're invincible, the next morning your reflexes are shot.

mayweather has no chance here and will be overwhelmed by the speed of pacquiao, both in the legs and hands. this fight will resemble the oscar de la hoya vs. pacquiao fight.
