If Maidana can land on Floyd then he'll get more with Pacquiao

I'm basing my responses off of what YOU SAID bro. Perhaps you need to go back and read your earlier drivel.

"Jab from orthodox is roughly equivalent to the straight left from southpaw."
Again...a southpaw straight left is roughly equivalent to an orthodox jab in the purpose it can serve."

No, it's not. It's a lead hand attack vs a rear hand attack. It's fundamentally different. The angle is irrelevant. If I can see the punch coming a mile away, I care not what angle you think you have.

Angle is never irrelevant. Floyd gets hit up the middle when he jabs and when he lays on the ropes. Pacquiao uses his straight left to counter jabs.

Watch their fights for chrissake. You are literally arguing that things that have happened can't happen.

The angle is completely irrelevant if I can see it coming from a mile away. That is called "reaction time." I'm not a F'ing heavy bag, and neither are skilled professional boxers. What you are describing is fundamentally flawed.

If I have time to react, that angle quickly disappears with a step to the left as I said. If you're southpaw, I shoot the straight right hand. If you're orthodox, you're squared up for a hard jab. All it takes is one step man. If I read that rear hand you're going to get caught. (And I don't have to move my rear hand out of defensive position mind you if you're orthodox and I jab. You are getting hit, not me.)

If you try to use the rear hand as you claim, (READ YOUR EARLIER COMMENTS!) you're going to get caught. It is not like a jab, and any southpaw who tries to use his left like one will get his ass kicked.

    Read your earlier comments. :patsch

No. Just no. You can point to that video all you want dude. I've already seen it. I didn't need this forum to know about it. You're not showing my anything new.

What you said does not pertain to that video. The fact you can't see that is amazing to me.

They are fundamentally different, and you don't even know what you're looking at in the video. That has nothing to do with what YOU SAID, and is just backing up what I SAID from the get go. Manny is not just shooting his left out there like a front hand: HE IS SETTING IT UP.

A rear hand attack and a lead hand attack are fundamentally different pal. You have to setup a rear handed attack, AS I SAID MANY TIMES EARLIER. If you can't see how that is different from the lead hand (jab)... just *shrug* ... Hopeless.

"Jab from orthodox is roughly equivalent to the straight left from southpaw."
Again...a southpaw straight left is roughly equivalent to an orthodox jab in the purpose it can serve." -- These are your words, not mine.

What you said is fundamentally wrong. And I'm saying straight up this is basic stuff I'm saying. It's stuff you learn as a kid. You shouldn't be talking about how "other people haven't boxed." Seriously.

I seriously doubt that, considering how every other fighter these days is a southpaw, and more emphasis is placed on amateur experience, which gives you more exposure to southpaws.

The strategy against a southpaw isn't some great mystery, either. I could link you to a lot of boxing sites that tell you how to fight a southpaw.

Things can be fundamentally different and also equivalent...

My argument was that Pacquiao's ability to lead with his left (whether set up by his head movement, jab, feints, whatever) will be useful in exploiting Mayweather's weaknesses up the middle.

That is correct, and there is enough video evidence available.

A southpaw straight left is equivalent to an orthodox jab insofar as they both attack the straight-down-the-pipe angle and are both the natural counter to an orthodox jab:

    Lead:Counter
    Orthodox Jab:Orthodox Jab
    Orthodox Jab:Southpaw Straight Left

It's ridiculous that anybody is arguing this. Go watch fights. Go spar southpaws.

    No, they can't.

    Let me help you....

Equivalent: equal in value, amount, function, meaning, etc ... If something is "fundamentally (forming a necessary base or core; of central importance) different," it is not "equivalent."

"My argument was that Pacquiao's ability to lead with his left (whether set up by his head movement, jab, feints, whatever) will be useful in exploiting Mayweather's weaknesses up the middle."

That is a reasonable statement. And not "equivalent" to the quotes I mentioned earlier.

Why in the **** would an orthodox fighter EVER throw a left cross? That goes against the whole point of the orthodox stance. An orthodox fighter's power hand is their right. And you have the ***** to say WE don't know anything about boxing.

And no, a southpaw fighter doesn't have awkward angles.

Your post lacks character. There's this image of Floyd created by you for your love of Pac to help unite Pacs fans. Love it. shall we? Ok.

Pac can't take a real punch. He can't fight inside. He doesn't rely on a jab. He's a inny outy guy. The reason he has crash landed when he's lost because he just can't take a shot.

Dlh was dead at 147, Mosley was older then when Pac fought him in that boring ass fight. Before Shane fought Margarito, Pac wanted no parts of Shane. JMM...no need to comment. Ok, I'll say this. Floyd took JMM's right hand while Pac took a nap from it lol. Cotto, Floyd met him at his weight and didn't ask him to drop 2 lbs. Two pounds is nothing right lol? Floyd came in at 146 for Marquez, two lbs over 144. Floyd didn't even have to negotiate 144 for Marquez. Marquez called Floyd out.

Now you can accuse JMM of being on PEDs, but without proof, you sound like a Pac peenis rider.

The true difference between Pac and Floyd is defense and WILL.
From the start of Floyds career he was wiling to win every fight. He took some hard shots, was cut, fought bigger men and refused to lose.

Pac on the other hand was knocked out early in his career, dropped and kod by a body shot, dropped by a Hussein jab and put on the canvas multiple times before he met Ariza. He has been outboxed by Morales and even knocked unconscious for 3-4 minutes later on in his career.

Without HGH/PEDs his goose is cooked!

Pac won't be able to keep up his attack for 12 rounds because he lacks a true jab.

He is being tested too! You need relentless jesus chavez type pressure to rattle Floyd. Pac can't and doesn't fight like that. He's a feint you, big left, right hook.

The slow guys that he's been fighting he could hit. HE WON'T LAND ON FLOYD like he has landed on those other slow guys that he's been fighting. Floyd will be the most superior fighter Pac has ever seen in the ring. Floyd has seen pac type challenges his whole career. He has solved them all and Pac will be solved too.

Will. Floyd has always had it while Pac flaunts it in certain fights.
