I like Kovalev...but Moorer isn't a gimme. He carries fight changing power with one shot.
Addendum: I like Kovolev...as in he is must see TV. Not sure he takes MM.

I believe so but there's a huge difference between having success as a cruiserweight and having success as a heavyweight....

Kovalev's power would give him a chance against anyone at 175. I want to see someone who can take it and fight back, which is why the Pascal fight was so impressive. Let's get this Stevenson fight made by end of yr.

Stevenson is more dangerous, but a lot more vunerable than pascal.

Stevenson is about 5% better than Pasacal, and a good one hand fighter rarely beats a good two-handed fighter. Darnell Boone said that Kovalev is better.

Moorer's just better than Kovalev. He's technically better with that tight guard and clever use of angles, a better puncher, he punches straighter while shifting weight quicker and he's much quicker and rangier. And ofcourse bigger.

Why is it whenever there's a good white champion the hype goes into overdrive around here? The same happened with Pavlik and GGG. It didn't happen with Tarver, Dawson or Ward.

    He's not bigger.

Moorer being better than Kovalev is certaintly debatable. Kovalev will definitely have the opportunity to put together a superior resume at light heavy.
I would agree that the hype train goes into overdrive when a caucasian star emerges but would also note that a far greater number of haters come out of the woodwork against caucasian fighters as well.
As for the fighters you mentioned I was a huge fan of chad Dawson and am surprised by how much he has slipped so fast. Kovalev however deserves more hype than Tarver or Ward who is bi-racial, simply because he is an exciting knock out artist. I appreciate Ward's skill set but knockouts draw in the casual fan as well as mainstream because of that both Kovalev and GGG are becoming must see TV.

Kovalev's delivery is adequate. He is not unskilled, but he certainly lacks sophistication. Power can disguise a great many things in boxing.

PP.your still up to your old tricks. You sir are a bigot plain and simple. This damn computer your posting on was most likely
produced by a pardon the expression a "white" man. The very language you spout your verbiage English, was developed by
Caucasians, your very life was most likely saved by a white man
Fleming who discovered Penicilin, so why can't you be a decent chap and not belittle brave boxers who have the cujones to enter the ring just because they happen to be "white"...? In your heart of hearts you sense I am correct....

    This is racist.

Kovalev is actually very sophisticated. Especially in his shifting.

    Compared to Moorer, though?

He does a lot with what he's blessed with, but the techniques are basic. He's a bracket below Moorer on offensive skills- to say nothing of his wide-open defensive posture. Again, there's plenty of good in him. I see good judgment overall, but close match or no, there leaves something to be desired, at least in the skills department.

Morrer didn't accomplish a lot at light heavyweight.

He won the vacant WBO light-heavyweight title Inaugural title. Back then the WBO was lightly regarded. Did Moorer ever beat a top 3 ring magazine ranked light heavy? Not sure. I tend to doubt it.

Kovalev is the real deal. I think he would TKO Moorer in the mid to late rounds.

    Yes he is.

By the way I for one did not believe in Pavilk and felt he was mostly a puncher with many flaws.

PP probably dislikes modern boxing, even though the action at light heavy weight and middle weight has been very fan friendly as of late.

Middleweight is a dismal division though.
