roach says many things Floyd snr said even worse things My point is I take what the actual fighters say over what their trainers say. Floyd himself said it was the right time to fight pac and he is not the same fighter now I ask you has pac ever said anything like this?
Yet this thread is based on what Manny's trainer is saying. No, but Pacquiao did say that Mayweather is an easier fight than Cotto, Margo, and De La Hoya. Let's get back to the original point, you can't both be forced to take a fight and cherry pick the same fight. Based on what you're saying here, it would stand to reason that you believe that Mayweather for Pacquiao to decline to take this fight. That's fine. However, if that's your believe, then you can't also turn around and say he was forced to take the fight. Those are two contradictary stances.
he never said easier he said he was more worried against those fighters. and pac remained consistent he said the same thing way back in 2009 before the clottey fight he said clottey would be a tougher fight than mayweather
Who care's why the fight is happening, it is happening. Jesus man ya'll are a strange bunch of people
Pacquiao also said in 2009 that getting blood taken weakens him for 3 days and that commission testing is good enough. So he's not consistent on everything. Regardless, you either believe Mayweather is cherry picking this fight or you believe he was forced to take the fight. It can't be both. You seem to believe that Mayweather is cherry picking Manny. Logically speaking, that would mean that you're picking Mayweather to win as well.
I really wonder what a persons life has to be like to slam a fighter for making the fight you begged for
Rally, unite...do whatever you have to do to become one for come May 2nd...you will all scatter like roaches.
Dude, the thing is, Manny says most things once or twice. Whereas Floyd has shown no filter and has reliably rambled on and on over the years about how Manny was easy work, a drug cheat, unnecessary for his legacy, not deserving of the fight, and not ever going to be a viable opponent as long as he was with Arum. So if you look at the "timing" of the situation... The CEO of freaking CBS got involved and Manny was KO'd 2 years ago... CBS forced the fight and Floyd took the fight (in the sense that no one can actually force him into the ring) with Manny's KO loss being a heavy influence on his decision. It's really simple. I might not want to do something at work, but if I don't, I get fired. You can be forced to do something while agreeing to it.
Even if Floyd took Pac out w/ a single shot, it will never compare to what JMM did. So I'm not sure where you get this idea Pac fans will "scatter" if he loses. :rofl:roflatsch
Actually if you're agreeing to it, then you're not actually being forced. That's just semantics though. I get what you're saying; which is that Mayweather had no other realistic choice but to take the fight. However, it is still contradictrary to say that he had no other viable option but to take the fight and that he's cherry picking Manny. You can try to slice it anyway you want, but the two are mutally exclusive.
If the fight happened in 2012 they'd twist it into a cherry pick. These guys have no confidence. Whether it happened in 2010, 2012, 2015, 2020, they'll find an excuse because they're haters. That's what haters do. And they're alts, new alts pop up for every Mayweather fight. Because the previous alt would look mighty inconsistent.
I think there is a certain level of truth in that way of thinking also the money and his future earning potential could well of also been a factor
