lol...some day....maybe 2016 if were lucky this guys message board fans are almost as bad as the turds...although i suspect most of them are also turds
The only business that Golovkin has taken care of @ 160 is the business of knocking over TOMATO CANs. If nobody @ 160 wants to fight then move up and take on challenges in the next division. Beating the Martin Murrays and Willie Monroes of the world means NOTHING.
K2 made a good effort with Chavez last summer but he refused to sign. Why not make an effort with Froch in UK or Abraham in Germany? Those are awesome fight. I think K2 are content to make one sided 160 beat downs on HBO for 1 million views to sponsor their little Civil War in Ukraine.
It's all about money ultimately. If there's a PPV fight at 154 or 168 then it's worth leaving the division for as the fighter will potentially earn more in one fight than fighting 4-5 times at 160lbs. PPV guys: Froch* - not taking the fight Kessler* - not taking the fight Alvarez - not taking the fight Cotto - not taking the fight Mayweather - not taking the fight Chavez Jr - not taking the fight Therefore, Golovkin continues at 160lbs, pretty simple really. *PPV in UK and Denmark respectively
Golovkin is a beast He can and should move up to 168 Smashing cans at 160 doesn't make a great fighter imo
Froch said he is willing. Even Loeffer said it. D Gale is willing. Lara is willing. Instead of chasing vacant paper titles , fight an eliminator at 168 to became mando to a champ who holds a belt. Pretty simple really
They're not willing, that's fallacy. It's just not true. Loeffler has been chasing the Froch fight for months. Win an eliminator for Froch like DeGale did? that worked out well for James didn't it? DeGale's words were "I'll fight Golovkin when the time is right" Lara is just talk, Haymon controls his career.
First off, obviously smashing cans at 168 is more impressive than doing so at 160 Secondly, there are a lot of solid guys at 168 that would definitely fight him imo Even a Murray rematch at 168 is a lot better than fighting the Monroe jrs of the world
Where's the benefit to Golovkin? They're not going to give him any credit for "smashing cans" at either weight so why take the tougher weight, not his natural weight, for the same money? makes no sense. He's just going to get more wear and tear without enhancing his legacy or his pocket.
I guess it did since he has the title shot next. GGG can do the same. Win an eliminator-get a title shot. Thats how boxing works.
Yeah, not against the PPV money guy but against Andre Dirrell in front of a paid for Haymon crowd in the US. It's okay for DeGale, if he wins the title he becomes a star again due to British boxing fans, Golovkin wins a title, it's just another title. It's only the PPV fights that make sense for him at 168.
If and when he moves up we can start talking about 168, he hasn't yet so there's no point in talking about it.
Only if he gets the top guys, not the "cans" as you put it. We know he can't get the top guys because he's already trying.
