Pacquiao had his power calculated in September on Sport Science, and Cotto had his power calculated yesterday!!

    Comparison?

    Cotto: 774 lbs of force
    Pacquiao: 806 lbs of force

Cotto is a middleweight, and Pacquiao's strength and conditioning coach (a former heavyweight fighter) said a few days back that Pacquiao has the power of a middleweight or a light heavyweight (NOT heavyweight, he made that clear, lol).

According to the calculated pounds of force, Fortune is right!

For Pacquiao, this is equivalent to the force of a shotgun! And Cotto is almost there! Considering both of these guys punches were calculated before they were in training, I bet both of them are more powerful on fight night! Maybe reaching 900!!!!

Interesting... ESPN had estimated that the JMM's KO6 punch generated like 1,300 pounds of force.

Freddie Roach wasn't a former heavyweight fighter.

I'd like to know how hard Kovalev hits.

Are you serious!?!?! That's ridiculous!! To put that into perspective, the hardest calculated punch ever was of Mike Tyson, 1,800!!!

My bad, when I said trainer, I meant for his strength and conditioning, Justine Fortune. Definitely not Freddie Roach, haha.

There is no standard measuring for punching power, so these numbers are just that, numbers.

Someone should create a standardized tool for measuring punching power, then we could actually see the true punch!

How do they calculate these numbers?
BKB will have chips inside gloves to monitor the impact force of every punch.

"I was bull fighting in Mexico, got hit by a bull because I'm flat footed. Pacquiao hits harder than that bull"

    -Antonio Margarito

"If I had to decide which hurt more, Pacquiao's punches or that circus cannon? Pacquiao, hands down."

    -Brandon Rios

"Pacquiao is the Bruce Lee of boxing. You don't even see his punches coming. If I had to guess on his power, judging by how my face felt, I'd say about 800-1000 lbs of force."

    -Timothy Bradley

"He didn't even let me out of my cage he's so fast. He's truly my master, and I like that kinky ****."

    -Chris Algieri
