Golovkin would make easy work of Lara!

    It wouldn't even be competative. Lara has looked very vulnerable at times to fighters with similar tactics and/or styles to GGG but who are no where near as good like Canelo and Angulo and I have never once seen Lara perform in a way that convinces mejury to beat other wise.

    He is chinny, couldn't really get Golovkin's respect, and could not handle the pressure plus he would be going up a weight.

    I'm sorry but a guy who was losing to Angulo until an injury occured does not trouble Golovkin.

    I do think it would somewhat competitive early but I agree

    Golovkin would win imo

    Still Lara is a better fight than any fight at MW imo

    Definitely better than Monroe Jr

    forget golovkin lara would get smashed by many of the top mw's he doesn't have the punch resistance to take a shot from a legit mw

    I guess Lara might frustrate Golovkin for a couple of rounds, until he finds out how to cut him off after wich it's over quickly.

    If Lara kept moving and didn't do that ridiculous thing he often does where he just stands in front of the other guy and covers up for 5-10 seconds without moving I think he would win or at least make it really competitive. Either way, Lara would be GGG's best opponent by miles.

    It won't be an easy night for GGG in no way. Lara has excelent lateral movement and footwork, he is good at setting traps. So Golovkin will have to spend a lot of efforts to deliver significant shots and Lara will make him miss. I also see Lara taking several rounds early in the fight.

    On the other hands, Lara won't feel comfortable with GGG either. In contrast to Canelo, Golovkin has perfect ability to cut angles, which he would need to do constantly against Lara. His body punches will also slow Lara down in the second half of the fight, where Golovkin is likely to gain dominance.

    I think it would be Golovkin UD 12 because he will land more accurately and noticeably than Canelo did during his fight with Lara. However, it will be competitive and it won't end early.

    Lara has a better resume right now, but h2h Monroe is the better MW fighter.

    Honestly I think Monroe would have dominated the Angulo that almost finished off Lara, and I think he seems a lot sturdier and better build for 160.
