Pacquiao and Floyd have tonnes of expierance The usefullness of sparring for them both is rather limited If you asked freddie to explain precisely what he means by "I don't believe in sparring" he'd step back and clarify for you.
i disagree. floyd is rather herky jerky and when hes on, hes extremely hard to hit. you got to be fast handed and quick on your feet, or its going to be long night:smoke
sparring is the single best thing a boxer can do for training. You don't have to go to war in sparring though, there are many forms of it. Nacho Berstein is very known for having his fighters do controlled sparring and drill specific situations over and over
I can't watch videos currently (@ work, lots of people) - is the quote taken outta context or is that really along the lines of what he meant to say? :blood
It is terribly out of context. He said he starts sparring 6 weeks out, and add to that this video is 2 weeks old. Roach sound terrible and delusional.
What he actually said or at least meant is he doesn't believe in sparring that early and you should start 6 weeks out.
Completely taken out of context. He says he doesn't believe in sparring this early basically and says somebody told him Mayweather hasn't been looking great in sparring.
