So put a pair of mitts on Usain Bolt and he'd be the greatest boxer ever , yeah?

Wrong . He'd be destroyed in seconds by a guy like George Groves or Amir Khan

Jesse Owens and Bolt are both Sprinters. Look at the incredible difference in speed over time as the athletes have got faster. Bolt would destroy Owens.

Or in any other sport- swimming, weightlifting, etc, etc, compare the records from the 60's or whatever to now. Athletes have got much bigger, stronger, and faster over time.

You wanna know who wouldn't win? All the poor *******s watching that clinch fest. There would be more tie ups than punches thrown.

If proof is ever needed to why the emotion-fueled opinions of the present mean nothing in 10 years, this thread is it.

More people think Wladimir beats Ali? Sorry, just can't vibe with that. I think Ali takes a close decision.

You should be able to comprehend that, considering that you chose Ali by close decision.

Some people still think a close decision is the same as a loss but whatevs.

Yes but In boxing they now fight less with fewer rounds than before so that argument doesn't hold water, guys like Ali, Duran, srl could go 15 rounds, guys like srr would fight 20x a year, why is that? All those things suggest boxers are actually decling physically over time no :deal

Ali will be eating counter jabs all knight. Ali is higher in the ATG list buy Wald is all wrong for him.

Wald is a way better version of Norton. And Norton putting the Futch/Lewis game plan beat Ali and gave him hell in 2 close questionable decisions.

Long fighters with the right game plan are bad news for any version of Ali.

If Jesse Owens had starting block, tracks and running shoes he would be 1 stride behind bolt

The Cassius Clay era that beat Cleveland Williams would have had to much speed and accuracy for VK....during this period Ali was at the very top of his abilities and still improving!.... The 3 years hiatus that Ali endured robbed all of us of watching a True Greatness!!:good

No, it would not be a "massacer" Klitschko went 11 3/4 rounds with Eddie Chambers, and 12 with David Haye. He would win though. Klitschko UD-12.
