You definitely got a point. No doubt Watson improved, but he was already a very fundamentally sound and physically imposing fighter.

It's a toss up for me really and probably comes down to that I enjoyed his performance against Watson better. But Watson also played to his strengths much more than Grahamn did, so it's really nothing in it I suppose.

If its indeed pure ability even at 160 Hearns would be neck and neck with Nunn for the top spot, and your really underrating McCallums ability no way is Grahm,McClellan and, Eubanks ahead of him.....

I wouldn't rank Nunn that highly. For all his physical prowess, his was a poor ring general, and used his outstanding athleticism and speed to win fights whilst fighting in a way the other guy often dictated.
Contrast that with McCallum, who was one of the smartest fighters of his era.

I think #1 is too low for McCallum.
We need to invent a new number that comes before the first number.
That's how great McCallum is among middles. :D

True Nunn just got by because of his ability but his ability is pretty speacial, for a fighter with that ability his Ring generalship does suck, but we could also say the same thing about Jones.....but he seemed a bit more dedicated although not as willing to fight elite comp like Nunn did. I personally have the upmost respect for The Body Snatcher....my 2nd favorite fighter, he was what boxing was all about....
