In the middle of his career, but past his prime as his results from1920 onwards indicate. Len Harvey fogut in every weight division, but no one ever claimed he was an atg at175lbs Where you rate Carpentier p4p in Europe doesn't factor into his standing as an atg at175lbs.
Carpentier's dsq victory over Smith to claim the White Heavyweight title was a highly dubious one,I wouldn't put any stock in it myself..

You think that ledger even compares to Saad's? Obviously quality of opposition doesn't matter to you.

    I picked Archie Moore.

But Conn would beat him H2H, He is my No 2

Spinks and Foster are just slightly under, and a case could be made for the no 2 spot.

None of which qualifies either as an ATG at Lhvy.

Hopkins,Tarver,Calzaghe are not great LHvy's, and are not perceived as such.
If you sincerely believe Carpentier and Levinsky are better 175pounders than Maxim and Charles you should consider watching a new activity, I recommend Wrestling. Criteria ?
Who you beat. Who the **** did Carpentier beat as a light heavy?

I think you have to put Charles, Tunney, Moore and Foster up there for sure .. possibly Spinks as well .. Michael was very gifted but had so few fights compared to the others .. I still like Charles and Tunney as my top .. not sure which is which ..

    Maxim beat:
    Bivins
    Mills
    Murphy
    Sheppard
    Lesnevich
    Satterfield
    Patterson

    Charles beat:
    Bivins
    Cristoforidis
    Moore
    Maxim
    Marshall
    Smith
Name the top lightheavies that Levinsky and Carpentier beat?
    I answered your question .
    RESUME!

    Who did a boxer beat?
Now answer mine and then depart ,because you are singularly unrewarding person to debate with.

Only speculation but in historical order I have-
Fitz-at his prime [he was old when he was born] at 165 lbs who truly knows
    how great he was?
Gene Tunney- a larger edition of Benny Leonard who survived a cruel beating from Harry Greb and at his LH peak HAD IT ALL...
Ezzard Charles- growing up I would read about his greatness as a young MW
and lightheavyweight super star. A classy and admired all around gent was EC
Archie Moore-right under Ezzard Charles who beat ole Archie 3 times, but Moore was a helluva LH who I saw at Stillmans Gym in yonder days...
Bob Foster- What a destructive puncher who could hit tremendously hard with either hand...
    Michael Spinks
Michael Moorer- as a lightheavy was a destructive southpaw who should have remained at 175 pounds.
Jack Delaney- was so highly regarded as a great alltime LH by Benny Leonard and others, but his taste for John Barleycorn ruined him forever...
Special mentions--Mathew Sadd in my eyes was as brave and worthy a fighter I ever saw in the ring...His braveness might have been his undowing...
Sergey Kovalev- Yes I know, "who did he ever beat" as if that is his fault..
A powerful hurtful puncher who has all the tools to be a great alltime LH..
Billy Conn- How did I almost forget the charismatic Pittsburgh Kid ? Tough as nails, Billy might have taken the 30 pound heavier mighty Joe Louis farther than any LH in history, 13 rounds before disaster struck Conn...

Maxim to me is over rated. Outside of a decent jab, and solid chin he really was not that good. Limited power. Maxim was very vanilla on offense and defense.

You could say he was gamer with enough ability to beat someone better on their off night. Joey Maxim lost 29 times in 115 fights. I do not view him as a top 20 ATG at light heavyweight.

Archie based on longevity and talent Tunney based on his resume Bob Foster who was a great 175lb fighter Fitz,Johnson,Jones,Maxim deserve a top 10 placement among other old timers like Loughran ....Ezzard beats them all but was not a Champion in that division so I rate him at Heavyweight and he is top 15

If you want the greatest you have to pick Charles or Moore in my opinion. But who was the best is more subjective, Conn would be my pick. His ability to punch on the move is extremly impressing. But biased since I love fast movers, maybe a Foster or Spinks would have KO'd him, who can say?
