OK , first of all, you got your context all wrong...you come across soundling like "poor little us white folks"...that's not the correct approach for this.

secondly, the statement i was making was about bernard hopkins....it was about african americans...and you know this because you read it.

thirdly,, assuming i'm wrong and blacks are racist...what's the basis of blacks (american) racism against whites?

"privilege" is the key word. whites raised in america are socialized from childhood to regard other races as inferior...even if your average white person didn't WANT to be racist, they have no choice in the matter any more than they can choose what langugae to speak or the kind of food they eat. in america you have something called institutional racism...it permeates every facet of society. it's insidious and it's blatant. from employment, to law-enforcement, to healthcare...it starts even before a child is born...that forces of racial inequality are present in that childs life.

when blacks are killed by the police or treated unjustly whites generally tolerate it....therefore the SYSTEM of racism exists in large part through the acquiescence of the whtie population. this is not to say that a white person couldn't LOVE a black person or raise a black family or have mahy close black friends...but it's saying that whites do not generally ADVOCATE For an end to the injuustice they see perpetrated on blacks....basically it's not their problem...therefore whites are complicit in the stystem of racism.

on the other hand, blacks are socialized very differntly...blacks are raised and bred to see whites as equals and often as MORE than equals....lblacks ar exposed everyday to the multi-dimensionaliity of whites....being immersed in a white culture therefore prevents blacks from being racist against whites..

now, many blacks do HATE whites....but not because they are white...they hate whites because of the hiistory of oppression and the other issues i discused above...these are issues that still exist in the society...but even if they didn't they have had a tremendous impact on the circumstances blacks experience and all the challenges we face in life...it's kinda like, saying that the bullying or emotional and physical abuse you experienced as a kid affected you as an adult.

 

dude, blacks in america are not racist...maybe africa or other parts of the world.

3...there is no individual black racism...there is NO BASIS for blacks to be racist agaisnt whiites...balcks weren't taught we are superior to whites...we weren't taugh that whites were a caricature of humanity...blacks were taught from childhood that whites are a diverse and multif-faceted people. how the fcuk are we gonna hav racist views about people we feel this way about?
