I think there's a difference between acknowledging the fact that privilege exists and being asked to apologize for it.

I know that my status as a white male will ensure that I am less likely to be the victim of racial profiling by law enforcement, to be the target of predatory ***ual behavior, or to be demeaned simply due to racial or ethnic background, gender, etc. Collectively, the first world may be a bit more enlightened and accepting than had previously been the case, but discrimination still occurs and straight white males are likely to be the victims of it. That's still the way it is.

By the same token that type of privilege will only extend so far; nor does it necessarily overlap with class privilege-And the sense of entitlement based on having that privilege. That's something that I consider to be more toxic and detrimental to society as a whole.

Either way, I don't think anyone should expect you or I or anyone else to apologize for who we are. But acknowledging that one's background might allow that person to avoid certain difficulties is a good first step toward creating a better understanding and appreciation between people of all backgrounds, imo. :conf

GG is too big for Cotto. Cotto is technically the smarter fighter who has been under enormous fire and passed and failed where GG hasn't lit a match yet.

Cotto is a small mw and imo, GG is just too big. I don't like GG at all and would root for Cotto and if they were naturally the same size Cotto would torture him, but he's just too small.

Cotto can get away with boxing without using his right hand on guys his size, but against bigger guys (Trout) and guys who can box,(Pac,Floyd) Cotto's right hand is useless. That right hand won't do anything to GG.

Stevenson Kovalev is a styles thing. Stevenson doesn't use the jab enough for me and Kov is a good boxer who uses the jab. Both have the power to ko the other imo.

The difference in this fight is size and reach. I'm not basing my opinion off of any 1 fight Kov or Stevenson had. It's a styles fight. Kov has a very good jab and I think that it will dictate the fight.

Their common opponent Boone was able to catch Stevenson with a right on the chin and stop him. Boone also gave Kov problems as well with his big right and Kov was lucky to get a draw in their first fight.

Both later won rematches by boxing Boone. Both stopped him.

Bottom line, Kov is the superior boxer and I think he will box smartly against Stevenon and stop him late.
