No. Hes not half as feather fisted as some ppl are making him out to be though, hes no knock out artist but there enough in his fists to beat a man to a stoppage.

Pacquiao has fought 10 times at 147. 5 of those fights were against a guy who had never won a single fight at 147. 6 were unranked if you count DLH who hadn't fought at 147 in 7 years.

Here is the list of his opponents who had zero 147 wins at the time:

    Marquez twice
    Bradley I
    Rios
    Algieri

That's 5 of his 10 bouts at 147 against guys who had never won a fight.

Also keep in mind about Bradley at 147 for the 2nd fight: His only win over a ranked opponent is against Marquez. (Who was only ranked because of his KTFO6 over Pacquiao) Bradley's only other legitimate win at 147 is against Provo, and that was Provo's only fight ever at 147. (Unranked) I gave Pacquiao credit for "beating a ranked opponent" in the 2nd Bradley fight regardless of these facts.

If you want to talk about the 4 guys who were actually ranked that Pacquiao has defeated:

    Bradley (see above)
Clottey (coming off a loss but at least he was in the top 10)
Mosley (coming off a loss and a draw MIGHT have been in the top 10 still - can't remember)
    Cotto (Catchweight)

Pacquiao's 147 pound run has been exaggerated by his most ardent supports IMO.

Bradley and Algieri had multiple wins at WW pre pac. They'd been going up and down for most of their careers.

That leaves Marquez and Rios, with Marquez competing and failing previously at WW. Marquez was two fights between old foes, both of which imo Marquez won anyway, and both very good fights.

Rios was a comeback fight after KTFO6, hardly an unacceptable fight after a brutal KO.

If you want to count Bradley's "YOUTH" wins at welterweight, go right ahead. As a "man," he fought at 140 pounds. His last "YOUTH" title was at 140, not 147.

Who did Algieri beat at 147 pounds?

There is ZERO JUSTIFICATION for the Rios fight. None.

And JMM is JMM, but it still doesn't change the fact that is two fights against a man who hadn't won a single fight at 147. And Pac arguably lost both those fights, not just the KTFO6.

6 of his 10 opponents were not ranked at 147 during the time of the bout. Think about it man. There is zero excuse for defending that resume.

I'm not counting 'youth' wins. He fought at WW multiple times, as a pro. IIRC the Abregu fight was at WW.

Algieri had definitely fought at WW as well, he's solid at the weight. Had he beaten a name? No, since he only had one legitimate name on his record anyway.

It was a weak fight, but he Algeiri had wins at WW.

Look maybe you think a warm up fight after being KTFO is unacceptable. I completely disagree. Rios is better than some scrub WW.

Only if you obsess over ratings.

Bradley is unarguably a better win than Ortiz and Guerrero, rated or not.

    I'll agree to disagree.:good

I really don't care about that. Which ranked WW at the time would have been a better win than Bradley moving up? Especially when Bradley was the man at LWW and had at least one decent win at WW.

Will you be berating Floyd if he fights Garcia(Currently unranked at WW)? I wouldn't, because stepping up or not, that'd be a great fight.

You're over-rating Bradley at 147. As you said earlier: we'll have to agree to disagree on Mr. Bradley. Time will tell us who is right on that subject.

No, I don't think Floyd fighting Garcia is a good fight. Garcia should show he can beat somebody at 147. I disagree with you. Yes, I would be critical of Floyd for taking that fight, ESPECIALLY in light of the Herrera fight.

Even the Hatton fight was arguable. Yea, he picked off Luis and got a title, so at least it was something. But hardly established as a "consistent" 147 contender.

I didn't like the JMM fight either.

I wouldn't mind Garcia stepping up and ridding the world of Amir Khan first!

A rematch at 147 would be intriguing. Their fight was electric.

Hold up where was Bradley ranked at ww when Manny beat him ? Bradley was a more accomplished and better opponent than :

    Guerrero
    Maidana twice
    Ortiz and Canelo combined !

At 147... no, he wasn't. In fact, Guerrero vs Bradley is a good fight. (I'd pick Robert to win) I think Maidana eats Bradley for lunch.
Ortiz, we'll never know. Again, not a guarantee for Bradley.
    Neither is Berto.

Bradley has not established himself at 147. You're giving him credit for 140.

Canelo was a 154 fight at a 152 catchweight, and not a part of a discussion of 147 pound fights. Canelo would bury Bradley at 154 since you brought up the comparison. (or 152 if you want)
