Wouldn't have had much of a problem with may 30 card being PPV if this years Sky sports cards had been good (tonight's looks alright, O2 show in jan looked good pre injuries but they've been a farce, highlight by coyle gethin), nevermind the farce at the echo but would be ****ed off if they make it PPV, should be looking at putting this on sky sports, showcasing the likes of mitchell/selby/joshua to help build them potentially to PPV level (like he did with froch and did well)

The only way you make that card PPV is if you dress up a deal with the may weather card £20 each or both for £25-£30 even at that you will struggle.

When it comes to my sky sports subscription for boxing i don't feel in getting much bang for my buck and will just jack it in soon and watch the fights online or in the pub.

    cards this year

jan o2, okish on paper, AJ and ryders opponent pulled out so I'm not overly critical of this one

    Hull, - shocker

    Newcastle - shocker

Sheffield - good card, think main event is a likely mismatch but that's ibfs mandatory not a matchroom picked opponent

leeds - looks poor bar warrington, his opponent lost to a 6 fight novice but has a decent world ranking. Too many tba's on the undercard.

Birmingham - presently looks poor, need decent opponents for macklin eggerton and yafais.

02 may card is good, but hopefully not PPV.

All in all not good enough for me, I think we've got the deepest pool of talent in british boxing we've had for a while so the cards really should be better.

on the plus side if you've got sky they are picking up some decent foreign fights like kovalov, think Garcia vs petersons on sky too which partlally makes up for some poor cards.

That 6 fight novice then got iced in his very next fight in a KOTY type ending

Indeed. Better to run up a load of debt, wind up the company, and start again 5 minutes later as though nothing ever happened. Allegedly.

Sheffield - I agree on the Brook opponent as it would have to happen at some stage. But how is the card good? Have you seen the odds? Only remotely close fight is Etches.

    Leeds - Warrington is 1/50!!!!!!

Betting all 6 favourites pays out at 1/2...and that's mostly due to Etches! Farcical card.

Exactly. And the next few matchroom shows follow the same pattern.

However Hearn has done well and has delivered shots for Degale, Burns, Mitchell, Selby and Mcdonell.

If at least two of them don't win he will have had a nightmare first half of 2015 with horrendous shows and losing title shots

Short memories all you Hearn haters. Google Eyes Ltd ducked up the whole terrestrial deal and Sky for years with **** that was being dished out. Just wind back and remember!!

Correct, take Etches fight off the multiple and you'll get a pittance back on a 5 fold bet, it's disgusting! 1/7 is the odds of ALL other five favourites accumulated. How miss-matchroom shamelessly put these fights on sky and get paid subscribers money for it under the guise of competitive boxing is beyond me.

Like someone said, miss-matchroom cards are tantamount to international friendly matches featuring minnows like Gibraltar and San Marino, and when any half decent match comes along it's an extra fee for PPV. Would sky get away with charging PPV for champions league group stage matches and Premier league games, and only showing football league and SPL games for your £50 sports package per month?! That's basically how they broadcast their boxing.

Why are you bringing FW into the argument? It's nothing to do with him - let's talk about Hearn and what he is producing instead trying to dilute it by dragging other promoters into it

It's the fanboys only argument, just because things were **** with FW it somehow excuses Eddie for being ****, I gave FW stick then and I'm giving Eddie stick now, why? Because it deserved, quite simple really.

His desperation of trying to make weak PPVs is what grinds my gears. Campbell/Coyle will likely be PPV if the Mitchell/Selby card isn't.

Regarding Campbell/Coyle as well as it being a possible PPV, its the fact he has wasted 2 sky dates trying to build what is (If we are honest) a complete mismatch that irks me. He must honestly think boxing fans are thick and tbf to him, listening to some, he's right.

I think the McDonnell fight will be closer than the bookies think. With etches and khomisky also closer than bookies are giving. Maybe I'm judging it in comparison with the leeds / newc/ hull card but I think its a half decent card.

I'm interested to see gavin and yafai too, though they're poorly matched.

hope this card doesn't turn out to be a ****ter now,
