I know the answer to the question I have posed is probably:

    Jimmy Wilde.

But are there any more recent fighters who are similarly short who can still punch a hole through a larger opponent?

Who would be the hardest punching boxer around today with a height of around 5'3" or less?

    Thank you

    Thanks for the responses :)

I knew Roman Gonzalez had a reputation as a great
boxer, but I didn't know he was a particularly heavy
    hitter.

Chocolatito and The Monster rank up there with the ATG's already in terms of p4p power. Roman G will be an ATG without doubt, perhaps the best "small man" of all time and Naoya berring injuries will be the second coming of Manny Pac in terms of winning so many titles in so many divisions.

We're quite fortunate Mr. Chocolatito does his damage in a smaller weight class representing a country that most boxing fans aren't threatened by.

Were he an American welterweight or a Ukrainian heavyweight doing the things he does, the souls and psyches of millions of afflicted fans would be on his hands. Fortunately, he's not, so the vast majority of fans are safe and unthreatened...........for now.

We're concerned about his appearance on the upcoming Mr. Triple G card triggering a sympathetic response against him from those who K2 has devastated.

Using the muscle size to strength ratio Jimmy wilde would probably be the smallest guy with the hardest punch

    Great thread

Pacquiao carried power from 112-145. That's insane.

His 122 power is among the best of the all time.

Jimmy Wilde without a doubt, but personally Michael Carbajal in his prime for me was a pretty devastating puncher for his size. His power saved him once from Chiquita Gonzalez in a classic and even past his prime, he came from behind to stop a prime Travieso Arce. Had some real explosive power, reminded me of Tyson, really good fast twitch muscles. They didn't call him little "Hands of Stone" for nothing. Orlando Canizales, Wilfredo Gomez and Carlos Zarate deserve a mention.
