Why do people dislike Quigg - is it because of Hearn?

Rigo offered to come to Belfast and Barry bottled it. They even claimed he is the best in the division yet won't fight him.

Even the biggest Frampton fan would have to admit he's ducking the best fighters out there.

 

If Frampton is ducking the best, what does that say about Quigg?

Solaris your wrong about the numbers on ITV 1 million you'll find it was more like 2m. You actually slate Frampton for fighting a real world champion instead of Quigg? He then fought his mando so can't give him **** for that. Admit it you've been wrong about Frampton for ages you claimed he wouldn't get Kiko in Belfast which he did, you claimed Barry had ****ed up his career leaving Sky yet he's on ITV at primetime. Frampton is the best fighter the UK or Ireland has for the foreseeable future once Froch is retired deal with it.

Figures were less than 2m. That is a fact.

Him being on ITV was a direct result of them BUYING airtime. ITV didn't chase them down to tie Carl down to a deal, it was a one-off audition hence Barry basically begging them to sign Carl in the post-fight interview.

Never, ever, did I claim he wouldn't get Kiko in Belfast.

 

Martinez wasn't a paper champion you baffoon! Romero, mathebula and hasegawa are good quality opponents that Kiko didn't just beat, he smashed them to pieces!

 

This is the most significant reason. Other than Salinas, the quality of his opponents have been awful.

I think it is because Hearn has been hanging on for the Frampton match - we all know Hearn loves a money-spinning domestic fight - but the endless string of poor opponents undermines his credibility. He is a world champ for chrissakes. He needs to fight someone that proves he is the champ

No real disliking toward Quigg. He seems decent enough.

I cant work out whether or not he's super confident in his own abilities or just not a full shilling though. His arrogance when fronted with his trainer or promoter is a little annoying though.

IMO most of the level of dislike with him is probably due to the fact he has THE most annoying promoter and trainer combination you could possibly have out there ;-)
