...when the doctor was looking at his eye. Obviously, he didn't but it sure sounded like it when he was getting examined.

I was worried about that too but in the end I guess he was just buying time so that he could see.

I thought the ref calling in the doctor so quickly was a joke. The guy has five minutes to recover after an accidental foul.

Not sure...I know he's a warrior and would never (I would hope not, anyway) go out like that, that's why it was so surprising to hear that conversation with the doctor. Usually, a fighter says, "I'm good. Yes, I can fight," when asked whether they can continue. There was nothing definitive from him during the questioning. The doc even had to lean over and tell him something to the effect he's going to have to stop the fight if he can't see...then Vanes left him to fight.

I didn't realize that until the announcers pointed it out because I didn't think he would go that route, but there's no telling when you're in battle...it's brought out the p**sy in a few fighters. Would have been the easy way out and could have backfired on him, also. Look how much flack Devon got for quitting against Bradley.

I thought he was gonna quit also and for the same reason of thinking he was ahead. I also am not sure of the head butt because it seemed to me like Charlo slid up under the head contact. Just seemed that way to me.
