Rank him on his overall body of work and his longevity and what he's brought to the sport.

He was paid slightly over $8 Million to fight Baldomir. At Welterweight. when he beat Sharmba Mitchell it was at 140 pounds junior welterweight. Margarito was not a junior welterweight. Why would Mayweather duck Margarito a guy who has been well beaten by people Floyd has defeated.

He has kept boxing in the public eye in the USA. For good or bad half the threads on this site are about him.

Like some else said rank em off what he did you can argue there is no Leonard or Duran in this era. What you can't argure is that
Guys like G.Hernandez, Chavez,C.Hernandez aren't in the top 10/15 of SFW from 90" til now.
That Castillo isn't considered the greatest LW in about 30yrs.
That guy's like Hoya,Mosley while not at there absolute best aren't HOF/ATG fighters coming off some of there biggest career win's an ect..

The undeniable fact is after May 2nd should he win Floyd will have defeat basically every top HOF caliber champ that has shared a weight with him in his era. I mean people don't like to admit it but Mayweather is really the most ducked Champ of this era.

In 98" top fighters like Casamayor and Frietas said they weren't ready for him and in 15" it's still top guy's talking about they need more time to be ready vs a 38yr old Mayweather.

True that pretty much will cover all the HOFers except Hopkins, Jones who were to big anyway and Trinidad and Wright have been gone for some time and Morales is to small and shot...and he will beat Pac to....

Why did Margarito's career not go too well???? Because he was railroaded by a blatant lie from a worthless POS who claimed PLASTER BLOCKS!! fell from his wrap. What happened to those plaster blocks???? They never existed. All that was in that wrap was a used damp gauze pad. On which, after microscopic ****ysis TRACE ELEMENTS of sulpher & calcium were found.
How surprising when you consider BOTH are ingredients of HUMAN SWEAT!! This was the basis for ruining an innocent man's career & tarnishing his good name
In my mind the only cheat that night was Shane Mosely whose performance that night was an example of endless stamina & none stop punches.. Which when you compare his performance against Floyd when he was lethargic & gassed in 3 rounds.
Highly suspicious huh when we all know Mosely is a proven & self confessed EPO steroid abuser. In my opinion the wrong man got castigated

Nope, he fought Sharmba Mitchell at 147.

And who had Margarito been beaten by that Mayweather had beaten when he turned down those offers?

A better question is who had Margarito beaten at the time that makes him a better win than Mitchell, Baldomir, or Judah

Floyd Mayweather was literally scared into messing his pants when confronted by Tony Margarito
There is a video on UTube proving this. Floyd's goons had wandered off & he was all alone. His eyes were like those of a deer caught in a cars headlights. Floyd refused $8 mil to fight Margarito yet fought Baldomir for was less. Then to crown it all he fought Judah who'd already been beaten by Baldomir.
Tony Margarito would haver just walked through Floyds pitty pats laughing at them finally beating him to a pulp like he did Cotto

Tommy would have destroyed Floyd. Floyd couldn't hit hard enough to bother Tommy

Margarito was not a threat...his best wins was with plaster in his gloves....and he was slower than a Yugo...

Tony wouldn't need plaster to put Floyd to sleep. Tony has NEVER USED or ever tried to use any plaster ROFL
If it really would have been so easy Floyd would have taken the $8 mil & not ducked & "retired" ROFLMAO
