Even Frankie Gavind would find his own fights boring, i would feel bad for him but then i remember he gets overpaid for betting up complete jobbers in boring fashion.

Is that even allowed? If so, he should do it.

His barging tool is the Gold medal from '07.
He still trains with his amateur coach.
His style is not made for the Pro's.

AM game has chaged now though, he wouldn't have as many advantages, no head gear, different scoring, lack of money as being a pro as well. Moving back to the AM is a no go ha.

I was at Sheffield Arena last night. In my option it was not the best performance from Frankie Gavin against an opponent Boxrec has ranked at 446 in the world. Fellow Welterweight Kell Brook dismantled Jo Jo Dan so I dread to think what he would have done to Mitic.

446th? Man, what is Gavin's path here? Is he just going to become in-house fodder for Kell, or has he got an actual timeline of opponents of quality calibre that he'll be facing? Because an opponent ranked 446th isn't getting you anywhere.

    Gavin is going backwards.

Seemingly (or probably evidently) this was a warm up fight (maybe to get the rounds in) before a big fight with Chris 'The Heat' Van Heerden in 5 weeks time.

I'd say Gavin is about the most underwhelming fighter I've seen. It's still fashionable to throw in a disclaimer about his 'talent' in any serious posting, but I admit I must miss that part too. Boring snore-fests again average opposition year after year showcase neither his 'talent' or his 'funtime' moniker. The dude always seems about to cry in every interview. I'm not blaming him for not having a box office personality, I just think everyone needs to get real about him. I had Skeete winning that fight from a while ago, I'd say he should be two L's on that record now.

As for Brook, while I'm being personal, that bumpkin northern accent is a nightmare. The kind of thing that makes me feel ashamed to come from England and makes people from other countries chuckle.

I've never been a nut hugger in my life mate! But I like the lad and what is wrong with wanting someone who showed so much promise as an amateur achieve a decent level of success? Because, if he fails to do so, he is going to have to live wih that for the rest of his life!

I am not suggesting that Frankie would beat any of the aforementioned, I just feel that now is the time for Frankie to take the type of fight that most expect him to lose (pretty much like when Kirkland Laing fought Duran) and maybe then we will see the best of Gavin...because as yet, I do not believe that we have (but hey, you could be right, I may be delusional:)).

As I said, due to his style, I can appreciate why fans such as yourself dislike him so much. But I do still feel that he could have a great performance in him (it maybe at 140, because he could easily make 140)..he just needs someone to light a roaring fire under his **** soon!!!!

Kell Brook's accent makes you feel ashamed to come from England?

You must be a typical Southern snob!!

What about James Degale and his Ill Manors/Attack The block accent and bs statements?? Tat is just claas A cringeworthy, man, Bruv, innit?
