in the past re brook he may of had a point, brook wasn't a household name, wasn't getting many viewers etc and didn't have a title or a world class win. Whilst kahn was fighting belt holders etc at LWW.

now, khan doesn't have a fight and the other opponents mentioned, broner + algeiri offer far less than brook does.

I think khan will win easily if they fought, I'm not sold on brooks power (despite his record) and the khan which all but shut out alexander would beat brook easily. Just can't quite fathom why he doesn't want to take it

you mean like thaxton , murray , romanov all in his weight class

or do you mean warrior feasting on fighters from lower weight divisions who are smaller height and reach type opponents :think

He sees it as too big of a risk. If he were to get timed by brook and lose, he'd lose his credibility in the U.K for good. Its one thing for him to lose to international fighters in the U.S, but to lose on home turf to another british fighter and lose his position as the 'best' U.K fighter. It'd be more of a blow, but this is the time for risk. Khan needs to reignite the fire to fight anybody he used to have in 2010-12, he's too business minded now, looking for the safe strategy.

I mean his fights between 2010-12, including the losses. When he was set on working his way up to a Floyd fight, not just waiting for it. When he was set at staying at LWW to unify the division in a final showdown with Bradley, his mentality in general was way different back then. He just seems to sit and wait around now for the safest possible option.

it was three years nearly after he won the title and marcos forced is hand , as he was khan that is just about to be stripped , marcos lawyer wrote to gbp telling them they were ready to go to court if they did not make the fight as marcos would not be avoided any longer

oh khan fans they just keep on giving and giving

he will lose his reputation as the best UK fighter by not fighting brook though. His business mind must be a bit **** if he's turning down 4mil + whatever USA revenue for fighting brook, by fighting algeiri / broner for a quarter of that.

he sat back in Dec 13 when he should of fought and beaten alexander for the IBF belt, whilst maidana jumped ahead of him the queue by fighting and winning a belt. If brook beats a marquez for instance quite easily and khan beats algeiri he may find himself behind brook in the queue for a may / pac fight anyway.

    Not really.

Fighters like Maidana, Prescott, Garcia. When Khan fought these guys, they were tough, powerful fighters.

Can anyone think of a single justifable reason as to why Khan shouldn't fight Brook?

Sure. Prescott was 19-0 with 18 KOs when Khan fought him; Garcia was 23-0 with 14 KOs.
