The myth that is Kell Brooks power!

I would say Kell Brook is one of the top 5 most powerful punchers at welter weight. So yes he is a puncher and yes he could KO Khan in my opinion.

 

The fact that he just KO'd Jo Jo Dan says he can KO Amir Khan. Let's not pretend Khan is some granite jawed destroyer. Anyone with a solid punch at world level can put him over. Just look at a shot Julio Diaz.

Please tell me 10 guys at welter weight who hit harder than Brook, and don't include Khan who has never had a proper KO in his career.

You know for a fact you're reaching here. Kamegai, Djarbeng, Zewski, Chaves, Kratingdaenggym who have any of these guys KO'd to suggest they hit harder than Brook? Garcia is an over rated puncher who has he stopped other than Khan and an over the hill Morales at his second attempt?

Matthysse is not even a welter weight and that is debatable.

Brook is a top 5 banger at WW end of and he has more than enough power to put Khan away.

 

Collazo fought the entire fight with his hands down, although he he had little to no gameplan, he also had zero respect for Khans punch power.

As you said, someone will walk through him. Alexander fought a stupid fight, he was trying to counter Khan all night long. That's stupid against a guy who has faster hands than you.

 

You can if you want and that would be debatable but the fact is half of that list is garbage and the other half is debatable.

Brook clearly is a banger. I don't like him myself but he KO's Khan and he is a big puncher.

 

Willie Limond had approx 20% ko percentage when he dropped Khan.

 

and Khan was given a long count in that fight too.

Anybody who has actually just watched a Brook fight can clearly see that he is a very big puncher. There is an argument to be made that he hits as hard as anybody else in the division.

I don't know where this idea that he isn't a puncher comes from but that is rubbish.

 

It's their KO percentage that should be the measure, as this is comparable, not some guessing about which opponent has the best whiskers.

Brook is a solid puncher, but he is not 'a banger', and no way is he in the top 5 hardest hitting WW.

The KO percentage as a gauge is rubbish. Some fighters really do hold a shot better than others. KOing some novice journeyman is not as easy as KOing Floyd Mayweather Jr is it?

How long have you even been following boxing?

I have been in the ring a few times myself and I can tell you you're statement is rubbish but if we are going to go by that Brook has a better KO ratio than Danny Garcia who everyone raves about as a KO artist.

 

The point he made is a load of **** anyway.
