Also, did anyone forget that Maidana was dropped with a body shot by KHAN. And Khan definitely isn't a puncher!!! Maidana really isn't that good....at all.

 

Body punching is about technique and not simply brute strength.

Hatton stopped plenty of guys dead with body shots, but you rarely even saw him KO anyone with a headshot.

It also doesnt matter how tough you are, if you get hit just right in the floating rib you're going down

I don't know...he almost cracked Floyd's chin at the end of round 3 in their second fight! Not a lot of people get that close to knocking Floyd out.

Khan can punch but if maidana isnt a big puncher then why khan ran way too much in that fight?

 

The thing with Hatton was he was very good at placing his body punches he knew how to get low or crouch down a bit then get on the left side (right side of the opponent) of a guy and deliver a shot right to the liver area. Kinda reminded me of how Gerry ****ey used to do it. All body punches are not created equal a shot to the liver area will really debilitate a man and can be a savage punch.
