1.There were two or three Donaire threads earlier. Just scroll down or check the next pages.

2.The Philippines has never had pay per view. All of Pac's fights are on regular tv there because the population can't afford to pay 75 bucks to watch a fight. Only the USA and a few times England I think have ever had pay per view. Germany doesn't. France doesn't. Canada doesn't. Mexico and Argentina doesn't. Japan, Russia, you name it. The US is the only country with pay per view. I think he might have paid not to have commercials or to have the fight broadcast on multiple channels in the Philippines. I think he only makes 3-5 million dollars off the broadcast rights there anyway, which is still a lot but not so much when his purses are 20-30 million dollars.

ive only been here for 6 months i had no idea ppv was always free. when i lived in san fernando 5 months ago he fought algeri and i went to a bar with a 100 peso fee. (43 pesos is 1 american dollar) . my family there said they had to pay for yhe fight. i now live on my own in angeles and bought cable. channel 1 is called "pay per view" but i guess that could mean anything. yea on the filipino news while watching with my girl friend they talked about manny (i dont speak fluent tagalog) so she told me the fight will be free because manny paid for it. but really ppv doesnt exist here?

The fight is FREE on local channels. Manny did not pay anything He just requested the 3 Main local network to simultaneously telecast the fight with Floyd. But that telecat is delayed about 10-15 minutes commercial in between rounds. How ever you have a choice if you're TV is hook with either SKY Cable or Cignal.. They will offer PPV for that fight.

Cables offer PPV in the philippines. It would be free on regular channels but not live with lots of commercials in between rounds. If you want to catch it live, go to the cinemas which charges P550 or in bars and resto with buffet breakfast included ranging from P700-P2000.

yes i have sky. okay okay. yea i guess my gf misunderstood the news story. id rather watch it home then going to a bar or resto. at home with some cold red horse.. i cam only imagine the level of pact_ardness at a filipino cinema showing his fight... im more neutral about the outcome i think ita a 50 50 fight and i lile both of them. thanks for clearing this up for me though!

Eh? Canada has PPV were not that remote! In face we watch it all the time in our igloos while waiting for the ocean to freeze and connect us to the main land. :D

Is plausible.. because $10 million Philippine pesos is only like $223,349 American dollars. It's noble for him to spend $200 grand on his countrymen than on the his mistresses.

It would be more noble if he just asked, "What have the Philippines done for me!?"

Who cares about that fight, Won a belt against an unknown opponent. What bull****. Remove the belt, its an average comeback fight... I mean did you see Prado's record? Smh
