Had Lennox re matched Vitali. He would have been much more fondly remembered. Win or lose.

When you throw a thumb to the eye you extend the thumb outwards beyond the clenched fist to cause maximum damage to the eye if this punch is not thrown carefully/ correctly the thumb will break this will happen wether or not the attacker is wearing boxing gloves ignoramus as the thumb is prone when extended alone

Having used the thumb in fights myself I know how it's done and can see clear as day that lennox threw a thumb

Of course I know how boxing gloves work

Are you implying that boxing gloves always work ???

That no boxer ever broke there hands whilst using boxing gloves ???

Which fighter is required to prove their legacy at age 38? Beating Vitali on the way out was nothing but icing on a cake already cooked.

So just to summarise, Lewis threw a very obvious thumb (That most people haven't seen), landed it, if Vitali hadn't pulled back when he did he would have "had his eyeball crushed" (Even though such an injury has never occured in modern ring history) and even though an attempted thumb resulting in a broken thumb is another "true" boxing injury i've never heard of, this would have happened if he didn't throw the thumb in a certain special way.

Is that about the size of it?

I've seen eye***** crushed but not in the ring ha ha ha

Anyway this injury has never occurred because most fighters pull backwards or sideways when punched at

Anyway those who are educated can see he throws a thumb those who are ignorant such as yourself will try to argue the unarguable

    The camera Dosen't lie

I am convinced Lemmie reads this board and has his minions and **** riders polish his career, that guy has, literally, a excuse for everything according to his fanatical supporters. Lewis did not raise a wake when he was active and no two F's were ever given about him. Fact.

The article says King would be left out in the cold had Lewis signed to fight Bowe. Nothing would ever get done with Newman and King in a fighters corner.
Who knows what went on in the board room only the people who were sat there.
One thing is for sure though , its not as simple as Bowe dumped the belt because he was scared of Lewis like most people think. There's enough evidence to suggest Lewis was part of the problem.

    Facts..yes let's deal with facts.

He lost to McCall and Rahman, those are facts. Avenged those losses, those are also facts.

Fought and beat Tyson and Holyfield, more facts.

And he won by TKO when he fought Vitali, yet another fact.

I enjoy dealing with facts, just wish more people would.

Well Lewis tried to take the titles off him when he agreed to the $3 million, 10% split but Bowe withdrew the low ball offer. Lewis knew he would beat Bowe and was willing to take his joke offer to prove it but Bowe went into hiding when Lewis called his bluff.

Was Bowe going for glory and fighting the best when he ducked Lewis and fought a faded Dokes or a journeymen in Ferguson who was so bad even the IBF refused to sanction the fight. When a sanctioning body willingly gives up a payday you know the opponent is god damn awful.

Bowe took 2 easy defences that was a business decision, easy fights for decent money.
