Andre Ward vs Joe Calzaghe

Joe was dropped by feather fisted Hopkins and an old Jones Ward has enough power to at least keep him honest .You don't need much power against Joe what you need is to neutralize his speed and work rate .Joe has never had any fighter that would have been in his chest ..Like I said its a pickem

Not only would Ward win, he is already greater all time.

 

Fight would never happen as Calzaghe would wait till Ward was Old and Ward would refuse to travel and fight him at any point in his career. Both these fighters have a lot in common mentally and skill wise.

 

Also at the moment its utter nonsense to say Ward is already greater all time fighter. As it stands both will be looked at in negative lights due to how they act, and this will be partly countered by the fact they where very skilled and kept their 0's (So far for ward atleast)

 

This would be the most boring fight in history. But Ward would snatch a decision.

 

I agree about this. But Joe Calzaghe at least made a few big fights when he felt it was worth the risk. It's unclear if Andre Ward will act like that. But at least Andre is fighting again. If he stays active at SMW he will build up his legacy which already has made a good start with victories over Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler.

 

Calzaghe got away with fighting european bums.

Calzaghe is faster and has a higher work rate, southpaw stance. Plus ward couldn't knock over a paper wall and calzaghe chin is very good.
