unlike ward, froch's main bargaining chip is he brings crowds and money. and were it not for that threat, ward wouldn't be considering getting in the ring at all! even then, he's refused the venue that would have seen the fight signed already! it's a shame, really, froch has offered a gift horse and ward has looked it in the mouth.

I would buy Jr vs Froch and what he's looking for is big money

Why does Froch INSIST on Nottingham, his hometown ?

He can draw a huge crowd elsewhere in the UK, so why not do the fight somewhere else ?

Why did Ward insist on being at home during the S6?
Nottingham is probably passionate for Froch, as it is his home place and football ground. That would be my guess.
I think Ward may have lost an opportunity for big money against what I think is an even older even more faded fighter than he got before. the only difference now may be that froch wont be as fatigued as before

GGG would come to Nottingham, and there would be no problems about a purse split. Come on Carl, don't be afraid. Gennady will be gentle like with Murray :)

I doubt Froch could comfortably make MW and Golovkin doesnt appear to be moving up.
Golovkin has a massive MW fight next against Monroe Jnr

he actually insists on the city ground, because as a forest fan it's his ambition.

what difference does it make to ward? the crowd will be pro-froch wherever in the country, although an electric atmosphere should inspire both fighters. he's looking a gift horse in the mouth i reckon, the chance to reaffirm his authority on the division with a career-high payday.

Ward is happy to fight Froch in the UK anywhere but Nottingham. He has said as much. Sheffield, Derby or Manchester are all good. Froch and his fans won't have to travel far. What about London?

It's not like Carl has chosen any of his last 3 fights they have been all mandatories. After this fight he wants to fight in Vegas on PPV anyway and before you say anything Frochs team went to HBO to see if Froch-GGG would be American PPV already and they said no.

I wouldn't even worry about it if Frochs team wins the purse bid he chooses the venue it's that simple. If Ward wants to choose venue win the purse bid. If Frochs team wins the purse bid and chooses the venue and Ward says no and pulls out he can be stripped same for Froch if Ward chooses a venue and Froch pulls out. That's as fair as it gets.
